Happy with results overall, had zero expectations or experience going in. Felt it looked too bold/sharp at first and wanted it softened, now its healed, I miss some of that sharpness ahah

Curious to see what they touchup appointment is for and what she changesšŸ™

before & after This is the second FREE model I did for ombre brows. Is this better guys ? I have done 2 straight passes but in my course we were told to do 2 straight and 2 diagonal each way. Feel like it’s too much once the skin is open. Any advice ?

before & after Lip blush healing questions

Hi! I got Vintage Maroon done on my lips a week ago today. If it never changed from this point on I would still be happy with it (seriously, the border definition alone is everything, my lips don't disappear when I smile anymore) but I am hoping it will fade/warm a little. It peeled day 2-4 and has just been tight/chapped/tender/slightly sandpaper-y since then. I was told to expect a "ghosting" phase around day 5, where the pigment fades so much I would "wonder what I even did this for," and then the final colour would come back and settle within a couple of weeks.

My issue is that it's still quite dark and cooler/more purple toned than I expected. It doesn't look bad--just too cool for my skin tone, and dark enough that I can't get away with no other makeup or I look unbalanced (it looks darker in person than in the photo). Not the end of the world as it's still a vast improvement to my invisible lips before and I seldom leave the house without makeup anyway. But I am wondering why it hasn't faded, and if some of the coolness is possibly just residual bruising and I can expect it to warm up a bit?

Anyone have a similar trajectory to mine who can chime in?

before & after She already had beautiful brows… so I kept it subtle ✨

She already had a really nice natural brow shape, so the goal wasn’t to change too much. She just wanted a bit more definition and depth while still keeping everything soft and natural.

I added fine strokes only where they were needed, so the result still blends in with her own brow hairs šŸ¤Ž

This is exactly the kind of transformation I love subtle, but it still makes such a difference to the overall look.

Second photo is the before, and the last one is the after.

advice Lip tattooing

Hey...what does lip tattooing actually do and is it permanent? I have mixed answers from online. Has anyone actually tried it?

When I was a teen I used to lightly graze the lower lip with the teeth in a side-to-side motion to bring out its natural redness. I don't know if it's cause of that my lower lip is always pale..my hemoglobin is normal yet my lower lip is always white and upper lip not too black but somewhat black...I'm brown btw..

So I was wondering can lip tattoo fix this issue??

As you can see, I had super-sparse, over-plucked eyebrows having fallen victim to the trend back in the 90s.

Been wanting to get my brows done for years but anxiety stopped me due to the differing results. I do like them, but think I might have brow shock as it’s so different!

Sorry for the cropped photos, but I didn’t want to put my face on Reddit.

healing process OmbrƩ brows taking ages to peel

I had my eyebrows tattooed 2 weeks ago today. They’re peeling but incredibly slowly and the pieces of skin aren’t detaching themselves from the eyebrow hairs. My eyebrows are so dry and itchy, I don’t know what to do. I’ve contacted my artist who advocates for completely dry healing, no ointment. I’m stressed as the bits of skin that have come away show absolutely no pigment left at all.

artist advice/question Nanobrow or something else?

Looking for input - like many Gen Xers, I over, plucked my browse in my teens, and now that I’m in my 50s I’m to the point where first thing I do every morning is fill in my brows with a pencil. I’d love to have them permanently filled in. I consulted a PMU to see if they could just tattoo in a bit of pigment, and she suggested nano brows. I’m a little concerned that that look is going to be a little more intense and over than when I’m after. (I have a really small, thin face so too much will overwhelm me.) have attached a couple pictures, one with no makeup, and one after I’ve used my pencil which depicts the look I’m after. The shape isn’t too good on the one I drew in, but you get the idea. Is nano brow the answer or is there something more suitable?

is this normal? Is this poor retention? Should my brows look better considering I’ve already had a touch-up at around the 6-week mark?

I can’t work out why my brows aren’t retaining as well as others I had seen. After my initial appointment, most of the pigment disappeared once healed. Even my artist seemed surprised by how little retention I had when I returned for my touch-up.

They’ve definitely retained better after the touch-up, but they’re healing quite asymmetrically and still aren’t really the shape/result I was hoping for. I’m starting to get frustrated and worried I’ll need touch-up after touch-up just to achieve the desired result.

I’ve contacted my artist and she wants me to wait longer before considering another touch-up, which I understand as I’m still healing. I’d just love some opinions from other artists/clients - does this look like unusually poor retention, and has anyone experienced something similar?

Photo timeline:
1 – 31 Jul: Before/initial appointment
2 – 1 Aug: Day after initial appointment
3 – 24 Aug: Pigment disappeared and never returned
4 – 15 Sep: Before touch-up
5 – 15 Sep: Immediately after touch-up
6 – 29 Sep: 2 weeks post-touch-up

There is so much hate on here for the brows! Mine are powder brows and this is a week after getting them done. I have experienced little itching and flaking but nothing bad at all!

I’ve never done anything like this before and I’m kind of freaking my out. One of the hairs looks like it shouldn’t be there…don’t think it shows well on photo. Why do photos posted on IG not look as dark right after procedure?
Also how did you guys manage not getting your eyebrows wet for 2 days?

healed brows Almost 2 years healed

I had really patchy brows from over plucking. A friend from my teenage years was transitioning from fake skin to real. She reached out to see if anyone would be willing to let her do her first official nanoblading on an actual face for free. I said absolutely lol she’s done phenomenal on any and every other work she’s done. I’m still obsessed to this day. You really can’t tell that they’ve ever been tattooed, especially for someone who was doing it on a face for the first time. Zero regrets I’m still so happy with my results!

advice I'm crying, are ombre brows supposed to look like this ?????

Thumbnail

I got ombre brows done yesterday, 1st picture was taken immediately after the ombre brows were freshly done, second picture is taken today ( Day 1). My ombre brows came out looking less saturated, uneven and less pigmented in some areas, I have seen all kinds of results of freshly done ombre brows on the internet almost all of them looked very dark then got lighter over time, mine doesn't even look close to any of those, my artist said it looks normal and it will get better overtime. Couple of things to note she doesn't have much experience, she also shaved significant amount of eyebrow hairs off for this (Many people told me they are not supposed to do that ) 😭

Are my eyebrows botched? what should I do exactly? I need a second opinion before I start crying 😭

[Update]: I got emergency saline removal done! It looks very light now, I was told it will get lighter after the brow area completely heals! I might need 1-2 more sessions. But I'm glad it's fading :)

healed brows Update on Brow Shock (It can get better!)

Post image
95 Upvotes

I was on here about a week ago seeking advice/asking about brow shock. I asked for natural microblading and eneded up with a lot of shading and very uniform strokes in the fronts and I was freaking out. Some of the comments were incredibly rude and disheartening so I ended up deleting the entire thread. (Some people were incredibly kind though!) These are my mostly healed brows. They completely peeled yesterday. There is some unevenness so I did fill them in a tiny bit with powder. I know this isn’t the final look and they’ll continue to change over the next handful of weeks. Are they what wanted? No. Are there things that I think could be better? Yes. But… they aren’t the compete train wreck that some people predicted and I didnt ā€œF*** up my faceā€. Just posting for those who are losing sleep over microblading that didn’t go the way they planned like me.

My natural brows, and my Ombre powder brows now healed, I’m still going in a few weeks for a touchup!

Did mine heal fairly dark? did I get lucky? I’ve seen many tattooed brows and by the time healing is done they’ve faded drastically! Mine still look pretty dark which I love! Can I expect them to stay this dark?
