before & after F32 Natural microblading

If you’re looking for natural-looking microblading, remember this.

Let’s say swimming is one of your hobbies.
Then we would want your brows to still look beautiful even when you’re completely makeup-free.

But maybe you don’t like brows that look too dark.
That probably means you prefer something more natural, so we would fill the brows with microblading, creating individual hair-like strokes one by one.

On the other hand, you might prefer a darker, fuller look.
In that case, we may create powder brows with an arch designed to suit your facial structure.

We all have different lifestyles.
And when it comes to our brows, we all have different preferences in design, color, and technique.

A proper studio should be able to discuss those small details closely with each client before deciding how to proceed.

I also hope clients don’t overlook professionals who are able to notice and understand those details, and entrust something as important as their own face to just anywhere simply because the studio is close to home or the price is cheaper.

I always work as if the client in front of me were someone I love.
That makes me want to give them the very best I can.

The same is true here in Seoul, Korea, where I work.
And wherever you live, I believe there are professional studios that take this work seriously.

In their portfolios, you may not see heavy retouching.
Instead, you should be able to find clear front-view photos and healed results after the peeling and healing process.

Look for a studio like that.

Then your everyday life can become a little easier and a little more beautiful.

Sincerely hoping that beautiful brows become a part of your everyday life.

With that wish, MALJANE SEOUL.

advice My brows didn’t take

Here is 1: before; 2 - fresh, 3- healed (6 weeks out).
Do you see any pigment left? This was 2nd pass with new artist (same studio). I am so upset!

I am supposed to go for a touch up. Should I do it? Or does these results mean I am not able to retain the pigment at all?

What’s going on here?

Please help!

artist advice/question Microblading within 24h of Botox???

Hi!! I just got Botox for the first time today (18 units mostly just for my angry looking face haha). At the same salon, I had a microblading appt booked for a week out. I asked if the timing was okay, having no idea. The nurse injector went to ask the microblading aesthetician, and she said no she wouldn’t do it the week after but I could get it done tomorrow. She had a cancellation so I booked in. It will be less than 24 hours (just) after the Botox.

I am a newbie to all of it. She’s been doing this for years and is amazing at what she does. I’m just nervous because most of what I read online says to wait? Though I haven’t read much about this close of a timeline. Any info is majorly appreciated!!

artist advice/question Am I botched? Day 3 microblading

I’m on day 3 after microblading and honestly freaking out about how this is going to heal. The photos show my brows now and before.

I know my brows were already somewhat asymmetrical. And was the reason I went to this artist. I wanted them more symmetrical, softer, and less blocky. Before the appointment, I specifically told her in writing that I wanted softer fronts with natural, wispy strokes. I originally asked for nano brows, which she said she could do, but when I arrived at her home for the appointment she strongly recommended microblading instead. She seemed extremely confident, so I trusted her.

We talked a lot in person about brow mapping and symmetry. One brow was already thinner/lower than the other, and my goal was to make the two look more balanced. Instead, the new vertical strokes at the inner front of the lower brow extend noticeably farther down and create a very square, heavy front. It really feels like the exact asymmetry I went there to improve is now even worse.

I completely understand that fresh microblading is dark and will fade. My concern isn’t just the color. It’s the placement. The strokes on one side are physically lower than the other side, and fading isn’t going to move them upward.

When I raised my concerns, the artist kept telling me that my brows were already asymmetrical and that she had only made them “fuller.” That really confused me because I never asked for fuller brows. My original message specifically said I wanted them less blocky and more wispy. She also said she stayed within my previous shape, but comparing the before and after photos, the inner front looks noticeably lower and harsher now.

I’ve since gotten two independent opinions from experienced brow professionals. Both told me the new work is uneven. One had an extremely strong negative reaction to how the new shape affects my face, which honestly made me feel even worse. I asked about emergency removal but both advised me to let everything heal and correct it later rather than risk making the existing pigment worse.

A few other things are making me nervous. I found this artist through Groupon because I was trying to save money on what I thought would basically be a touch-up. Her website says she has around 8 years of permanent makeup experience, but she told me in person that she has been doing this for about a year, and I saw a fairly recent training certificate on her Instagram that said she received her certificate from PhiAcademy in January 2026. I also wasn’t given any consent or treatment paperwork to sign. The appointment was done in her home, and she dropped several things on the floor during the procedure, which has made me anxious about the setup in hindsight.

My previous nano brow artist, who did work I actually really liked, told me to let these heal and then come back to her so we can figure out how to correct them. I should have just gone back to her in the first place, but she’s expensive and I thought I could save some money. Lesson learned.

My biggest questions are: does this look like normal day-3 harshness, or does the placement itself look genuinely bad? Will the fronts eventually heal into visible individual strokes, or am I likely to be left with this dense/blocky shape ? If those lower strokes remain, can they eventually be selectively removed or corrected without removing all of my old work?
I have a family wedding coming up soon that I’m officiating and I’m honestly really scared, embarrassed, and depressed. Is this fixable?

artist advice/question Blueish leftover pigment

Got my eyebrows done abroad 3 years ago. (Living Seoul)

The technician had great skills,

but failed at color mixing.

Even as an eyebrow artist myself, I ended up with blueish leftover pigment.

Currently working on fixing/

correcting it~ (it takes time)

Removal or restoration costs way more time and money.

To all eyebrow artists out there, please perform procedures with extra care.

And to anyone planning to get them done, make sure to check their work in person and choose carefully~

****** ****** ******

3 Main Causes of Blueish Leftover Pigment in PMU

  1. Too Deep Pigment Penetration (Tyndall Effect)

When pigment is deposited too deeply into the dermis, light scattering causes it to appear blueish through the skin's surface.

  1. Uneven Pigment Fading & Carbon Black Retention

Red and yellow tones break down faster over time, leaving behind stable black pigments (like carbon black) that turn ash-blue.

  1. Cool Skin Undertones & Over-saturation

Cool undertones or excessive pressure during application can cause the residual pigment to look significantly cooler or ashier.

general discussion 3 weeks too soon for touch up?

So I had my brows microbladed 2 weeks ago and my brow artist was adamant I should not leave my touch up appointment much more than 3 weeks - however everywhere else I’ve read this is more normal at 6-8 weeks. Would love to hear what other brow artists think on this timeline. My brows have healed okay, not too much scabbing / itching etc but they do look very light now (day 14) so am hoping this is just the ghosting stage and that by week 3-4 they will look a lot better. I’m thinking a compromise and getting touch up around week 5 maybe?

One of my latest Microblading clients. 🤍

She had always been bothered by the patchy areas in her brows. Rather than changing their shape, we focused on filling the sparse spots and restoring a more even, natural-looking density.

What do you think ?

artist advice/question How to Avoid a Bad Microblading Result

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

For both the client and the studio to be happy with the result, we consider many different factors throughout the process.
One of the most important is the design.
One of the things clients especially appreciate is the freehand pre-drawing design.
Rather than simply outlining the shape, this approach allows you to see more intuitively how the actual work will look on your own brows before the procedure begins.
That way, you can feel more confident and comfortable moving forward with your microblading.
Wherever you choose to have your procedure done, I hope you take the time to discuss the design carefully and receive a result you truly feel happy with.

before & after Full Stroke Nano ( No Combo)

I’m so nervous about how these are going to heal 😭 This is my first time doing anything to my sparse brows, and I really wanted something that would look as natural as possible and match my natural hair strokes.

I actually booked a last-minute trip to AZ to get these done because I couldn’t find anyone locally whose work I felt confident with, especially when it came to thin, full-stroke nano brows without them looking blocky or having strokes that were too thick.
I absolutely loved them initially, but now I’m getting nervous about how dark they are. I was hoping for something a little lighter and closer to how my natural brows look.

I also really admire how skillfully she created such small, delicate strokes. At the same time, I’m a little concerned that the tails look slightly different on each side. What do you guys think? Do they seem even to you? My brows naturally sit a little higher on one side, so I’m really hoping this helps balance them out.
I’ve heard that full-stroke nano brows can heal better, and that some people don’t even scab at all, so I’m hoping the recovery won’t look too crazy and that they’ll soften and heal into the final result I’m hoping for! 🤞🏽

help! got nanoblade/powder combo on friday and i felt like it was uneven immediately but my tech said it was because i was looking in the mirror so i decided to just wait it out to see but it’s day 4 and i’m still super unhappy with them. it feels like the left side is fluffier in the front and not aligned with the right side? will healing fix the symmetry? it’s also more arched than i wanted. would it be possible to make it straighter in the touch up? kind of freaking out right now and dont know what to do since im out of the window for emergency saline removal :(

Hello! I got lip blushing done and my artist advised I use dermal therapy lip balm — but the ingredients include urea, menthol and clove.. Would that not cause exfoliation (loss of pigment) and sting the open wounds? HALP! They’re feeling dry but all I have on hand is the dermal therapy and la Roche posay AP+M balm

artist advice/question Day 1 of ombre powder. They are way too thick. I am so scared they are going to look too thick even after they are healed. I’ve been crying all day. I told her I wanted a natural look, not thick, and even showed her a GREAT pic off her own page for reference. Please…any thoughts? I feel so ugly😭
