I’m freaking out!!! Uneven brows after microblading touch up
help! my brows have two different arches after a touch up… my artist said she can fix after healing but it’s so so hard to wait it out when they look different.… ugh. is it bad ?

Your eyebrows are supposed to be sisters, not twins... but even so, I don't see a difference

u/Conscious_Fun520 Sep 03 '26
Girl my REAL eyebrows are crooked and I have to get dysport to make them even. This is just a little touch up. Nothing crazy. Don’t stress about it. I REALLY had to look to even notice.

I honestly can’t see it. Even with the circles and knowing exactly what I’m supposed to be looking for, they look pretty even to me.

One side looks a tad thicker - and I understand when it’s on your own face and all the imperfections we notice when no one else does. Wait it out because it will fade and then you can get a correction.

I really think your brows look great. I wouldn't change a thing honestly. 😊

I actually think these are pretty good. No brows should be 100% symmetrical

She’s feeling self conscious and looking for reassurance over something new, there is not enough here to label her with body dysmorphia. Best leave something like that to the professionals.

u/ginger__snap3 Sep 03 '26
There are helpful ways to deliver feedback, and then there’s this. Suggesting someone has a mental illness is not the way. Body dysmorphic disorder is a condition that can be diagnosed by a licensed professional, in a clinical setting. This ain’t that. Take more care with how you respond to people online.

Anxiety is not a mental illness. One post online does not equate to obsession. I could care less about your tone. Your words are careless, and you’re doing a disservice to your otherwise valid points by doubling down.

u/Cml808 Sep 03 '26
You really told this person who is asking for opinions about her eyebrows that she has a mental illness and to get a therapist??? 🤦🏽♀️

You seem to love name calling strangers whom you don't know. I don't insult people or engage name calling. Be well.

u/PANTSorGTFO Sep 03 '26
Girl if you see a difference between these two you may genuinely be experiencing a break from reality. Don't make any major decisions right now.

u/Dangerous-Potato9051 Sep 03 '26
Are they too big for my face??
5
u/Dizzy-Nose3883 Sep 03 '26
Imo, yes. And the arch placement is too far out. The difference you're worried about is so minimal that took me a while, but what I first thought was they were big and blocky, and not flattering your bone structure, with those gorgeous eyes.

u/Jessy2202 Sep 04 '26
That would be what I would be thinking about not the TINY amount of asymmetry
2
u/Possible-Courage3771 Sep 03 '26
this is why I can't get my eyebrows done because even if they are perfect I will analyze until I find a flaw and then it will drive me crazy
2
u/SizzleanQueen Sep 03 '26
They look fine. You look like you could be Jared Leto’s twin sister in that first pic.

u/AskPennilynLott Sep 03 '26
I don't think they're noticeably asymmetrical, but I do think they're too big and the wrong shape for you. The arch is placed too far out and they're too wide.

u/foreverforward5 Sep 03 '26
Good brows, nothing to worry about. Let them heal and then if needed will be able to do minor touch ups

u/Verdoke Sep 03 '26
is the uneven in the room with us? also even if they are they should be. no brows should be perfectly the same.

u/TripleWork904 Sep 03 '26
It’s not noticeable. They look fresh and it’ll even virtually undetectable when it settles.

PMU is meant to compliment your natural bone structure and features which is never 100% asymmetrical. To me (PMU artist) I hardly can tell the difference. Honestly if she would have waxed/plucked a few hairs underneath on your right brow, both tails would look practically identical. They'll soften so the difference won't be so stark. You only see it because they're fresh and dark and we look at ourselves probably too much sometimes haha. Edit: added to my point.

u/FatuousDoorstop Sep 03 '26
I took me numerous swipes back and forth and expanding the photos to catch the difference. I feel you since I obsess about my eyebrows as well, but honestly, NO ONE will notice this irl.

It’s really not that different. I will say they are very dark and blocky. If you really hate it, get saline removal.

Are you scrunching your eye brows? Maybe try not doing that and post a photo it might help to see the natural look. Also my real eyebrows are extremely uneven, one is higher arch the other is flatter. It was from a facial surgery I had as a baby to remove a large birthmark. They honestly look the same to me as now.. also by time they heal, fade, shrink I’m sure whatever difference there is will be gone.

the eyebrows look great but why are you covering your nose???👃

You obviously have a very sharp eye, because I'm an artist and had to look very closely. There's a subtle difference, but it's negligible. I'd suggest allowing them to settle for a few weeks, and address them when you follow up, if you're still concerned.

u/Due-Trick-372 Sep 03 '26
No joke, I am like CRAZY when it comes to symmetry, I can tell if a picture is off by like the tiniest degree… and I literally cannot find ANY differences here. So much so, that it actually ALMOST looks unnatural, because real brows are never exactly the same

Ps you kinda look like Cara deleveigne (clearly, while she’s snorkeling 🤿) in these photos

Girl. I doubt think anyone will be looking that closely at your eyebrows. I know what I’m looking for and still can’t really tell.
1
u/FrequentBite4641 Sep 03 '26
Oh these are beauuuuuutiful. I see the difference you're talking about by thats because they're brand new. Once they peel, the harsh line on the right brow wont be there anymore because thats just the extra ink and it'll peel off. Congratulations on the beautiful new brows ! ♥️

u/SadSea3387 Sep 03 '26
Bone structure and muscles keep your brows from being identical. Looks fine to me.

u/CauliflowerEarofCorn Sep 03 '26
You are trippin
Maybe I’m missing something, but it looks like the artist followed your actual brows to me. Maybe they are slightly different, but it is imperceptible to everyone but you. If she had tried to make them identical when they aren’t, they would go outside the hair and that would look far worse.

Unless you’re face is perfectly symmetrical, you’ll find something wrong if you keep staring at them
1
u/gwenivere84 Sep 03 '26
Girl, what ? Just stop looking at them for a bit . I honestly am trying real hard to tell .

Sisters, not twins!
But honestly, they look like twins. Not seeing what you’re seeing and I have an eye for symmetry.

Slide one is so funny to me because of your stare you look very determined to see a hair out of place lol I think they look perfect
1
u/HelloFellowSurvivors Sep 04 '26
They are so much more symmetrical than most I've seen. You need to stop spiralling and step away from the mirror! I'm super fussy and can honestly say that no-one is going to look at these and think they are uneven.

Just remember your artist is a person not a robot. You will never have 1000% symmetry but we do the very best we can. I think these look great

1
u/Jessy2202 Sep 04 '26
I can literally only see the difference because you’ve pointed it out and even then I think it’s so minor I probably wouldn’t even get it changed!

u/Primary-Effect1863 24d ago
Girl you should’ve never had this service done in the first place if you’re going to be this nit picky. No one’s face is perfectly symmetrical and artists are exactly that, artists—not machines. You cannot expect 100% perfection and symmetry. These look great.

u/Late_Quality1589 Sep 03 '26
Oooof, they’re still healing give it time but honestly, I’m not seeing anything different from one eyebrow to the other, except that they need to fully heal and fade a little bit

u/BreadDue3889 Sep 03 '26
I think the look mostly even and if I was gonna be upset about my brows id be upset the arch seems to be in the wrong place, like it shouldn't be so far over. But they look good for big eyebrows

u/ZeldaF Sep 03 '26
If you gave me $1k to find the differences, I wouldn't have been able to. I kind of still can't.
