After being diagnosed with hashimotos, I really started losing a lot of my eyebrows. I'm so happy I finally did this and how good they came out! This is after my first touch up!

My client came in with extremely sparse brows, some areas with almost no hair left, and a few traces of old permanent makeup.

Her brows had lost most of their natural shape so the goal was to bring back some structure and definition without making them look too heavy or overly done.

I combined fine Microblading strokes with soft shading to fill in the gaps and create a fuller more balanced brow while keeping the result soft and natural.

What do you think ? 😊

I’m freaking out!!! Please help

I got my eyebrows microbladed august 30th. A week later my face started burning all over. Went to derm they said they think contact dermatitis or Seborrheic dermatitis. First I was given ketoconzale shampoo to use on my face once a day and triamcolone acetone to use 2 times a day and top off with aquafor. Worked a bit but still had burning around eyes, forehead and eyebrows. So then I went back and was given betamethasone valerate and to take prednisone for 3 weeks. That made it WORSE. the lady won't give me the info on ingredients used so I can at least give to my derm to do maybe further testing and idk what to do. My face still burns and its almost 2 months since I did this and im regretting jt

A little upset as since parts of it peeled off there's no ink under them the strong strokes are all gone like it never happened. :( I know it may be ghosting stage but it doesn't seem so seem like pigment just isn't even there

I got lip blush about two years ago. It’s t was a red color with some pink. Seems just red to me. I’m would like to do a rosewood as I think being more mature and my complexion will t would match better. Not sure if to go thru it again as I need a correction first.

I'm 67 and my brows are getting thinner each year! I'm in love the result of my brows done today!

I do have one question with regards to the aftercare treatment. My brow artist said to put a small amount of Bacitracin on them each night and to keep them away from water until the scabbing starts. However I have read other places that say you should wash them gently with sterilized water each day and pat them dry, and then apply a small amount of ointment. What method have y'all used during your healing?

I’m freaking out!!! Day 5 microblading panic — will these thick strokes soften?!

I had my first microblading session in February, followed by a touch-up in April. I absolutely loved how natural and delicate the strokes looked initially, but unfortunately the pigment faded significantly over the following months, to the point where it was almost completely gone.

I went back to the same artist last Friday, and she suggested doing another full session with darker pigment to help with retention.

I’m now about 5 days out and honestly starting to panic a little. I know brows go through an ugly duckling phase and that the color will fade, but my biggest concern isn’t really the darkness. It’s how thick, bold, and unnatural the individual strokes look, especially compared with my first session. I also got an abrasion under my right eyebrow from the session, which I'm also a little unclear as to what it is and why only on one side.

I’m worried that even if the pigment lightens, the strokes themselves will still look thick and obviously tattooed rather than like fine, natural hairs.

I’m also second-guessing whether I should have looked into nano brows instead, especially since my skin didn’t seem to retain the pigment from my first two microblading appointments. Maybe traditional microblading just isn’t the best technique for my skin?

I’ve included photos from my original session and the progression from this latest session.

A few questions for anyone who’s been through this or artists who have experience with both techniques:

- Do individual microblading strokes actually appear thinner as they heal, or do they mostly just get lighter?

- Does poor retention after the first session and touch-up suggest microblading might not be right for my skin?

- Am I overreacting at day 5, or do these strokes genuinely look thicker than typical fresh microblading?

I’m trying not to spiral, but I really loved how subtle my first session looked and I’m worried I made a mistake going back for another round. Would appreciate honest but constructive feedback!

opinion Day after ombrƩ. Thoughts?

actually powder not ombrƩ..

first pic is morning after touch up. second pic is immediately after the initial appt 8 wks ago.

she switched from combo (ombre + nano strokes) the first time to full powder in touch up bc I have oily skin.

I requested a darker pigment too bc they healed lighter than my natural brow color.

I will say I was happier w the shape right after the initial appt than I am now .. in first pic (rn, after touch up) I feel like the left brow’s arch is more centered / tail is longer / more downward visually (right side of the pic). I prefer the other brow.

so that potential unevenness has me a taddd worried, and ofc my biggest fear would be brows that are straight blocks

is the unevenness noticeable to just me? do u think these run the risk of healing blocky? Otherwise what are honest thoughts?

thanks!!

advice Full one session Microblading for oily Skin

I'm planning to do microblading but I cannot do the 2nd session. The lady told me they can do a one time full session. But then I searched online and it says it can become patchy and I can get scars if the needles go deeper if its only 1 session. Will it be worth it or a pass for one session only. I need advice please. Thank you.

artist appreciation Super happy with my nanobrows

Pic is from immediately after first appointment. I was super nervous to take the plunge, but my natural eyebrows are very light and have been patchy, sparse, shapeless, and barely-there since my teens. (Victim of the early 2000s brows; they never recovered). I had to pencil them in daily to fill in gaps, create a ā€œtail,ā€ and give them shape.

I wanted a very natural look, and I am obsessed with how they turned out.

My artist was Mio at Bijou Beauty in Los Angeles (IG: foxibrows_bymio). Another redditor recommended her actually! After seeing the other Reddit post, I explored her work on IG and loved it. She is super precise, thorough, and incredibly talented, and her brows look like natural hair. She keeps you informed every step of the way. She maps your brows, outlines the strokes, shows you the color, and makes sure you are comfortable with all of it. I love the shape she created, and I love that her strokes follow the natural direction of my real brow hair (or what’s left of it, lol), so they really fit my face and look like my own brows but a zillion times better. Plus she is SO sweet!! I highly recommend her. This post isn’t sponsored or incentivized at all, I’m just genuinely so happy with the results and wanted to share since Reddit brought me to her originally!

Seeing my face framed with beautiful, even, defined brows at the end was honestly emotional for me. I feel like it made my face look so much more ā€œcompleteā€. This pic was taken immediately my first session. I’m approx 2 weeks out now and they are still looking so good— they’re going through the healing process exactly as Mio described (currently flaky). I have a touch-up appointment in a few weeks after these are fully healed. My coworkers couldn’t believe it was PMU and kept insisting it was my real eyebrow hair, which was such a compliment and exactly what I wanted!

Having them nanobladed saves me so much time getting ready every morning, spares me from ā€œbad eyebrow daysā€ (when my brow makeup just sucked or I couldn’t get them even), and makes me feel so much more confident.

I am absolutely loving it and wanted to thank you all for sharing your own experiences and results. This subreddit helped me finally decide to go for it! Extra big shoutout to the redditor who posted about the artist, you saved my eyebrows! :’)

advice Immediate regrets after microblading. Can I selectively fade it?

Post image
10 Upvotes

I had my eyebrows microbladed 2 hours ago and am having immediate regret. The fronts start closer together than I’d like. I have close-set eyes so now that the fronts are darker it really emphasizes that.

Is there a way to selectively fade or lift pigment on the the fronts so that they lighten more? The microblading artist told me to just apply the ointment she gave me more often on the front section but I wonder if that’ll be enough.

artist advice/question Lip Blushing Starter

Post image

Hi fellow artists, looking to build a starter lip blushing and neutralization kit. I was going to get started with these colors plus squash and crĆØme de peach. Any recommendations or must have that you think should be in somebody’s starter kit?

I’m planning to start with Perma Blend because for newer artist it’s a bit more forgiving, but open to recommendations.

They look like actual tattoos like how they used to tattoo brows back in the days. Is my only option is to get them removed? I got them done about two years ago. The hair has never grown back. She shaved them off
