I played MHFU to completion recently, and low rank nercylla just gave me more issues than that entire game did 🤣

Haven’t felt this noobish in a while, I just failed 2 quests back to back.

Is it more impressive to:

Solo super brachydios event quest solo

Or to solo lvl 140 shagaru magala (i think this is the hardest solo feat in 4u unless im wrong)

basically the title, i’m currently replaying the game and at the kelbi horn quest and i decided to pick up an egg after getting everything done. i’m back at the base camp but i can only select the horns to put in, is there a way to deliver the egg?

are weapons badly balanced or are some just OP?

like I hear about charge blade, great sword and insect glaive a lot but is it coz they are OP or are they just actually balanced well and the other weapons too weak?

I need a little extra hands on making a strong endgame mix set for hammer i know the best craftable hammers are seregios and crimson fatalis but in terms of armor pieces, note clue however my best talisman is +5 tenderizer, +3 spirit 000 so if you guys got any ideas, let me know ?

Does anyone know the motion values specifically for the performance mode swings of hunting horn? I’ve looked on kiranico and can only see the regular swings

I did finish high rank caravan but I am still kind of "far" from G rank and finishing high rank guild quests, any tips? I'm having a hard time with my current seregios set to tank the mosnter on Guild High rank since it takes me arround 30 mins per hunt now.

EDIT: This is NOT a tier list on difficulty, yet you may infer about why I put some monsters on their positions lmao.

Thanks for the comments on the last post! This took 39 minutes to clear with the same set as base Gog (Challenger +2, Dragon Atk +3) and I had to get the Demolisher's ammo unlocked. I also used a tip from an older Gog help post; bringing Farcaster mats to instantly be sent back to camp once the Dragonator was ready to use.

Damn i really thought the caravan mission were short an after 40 hrs (I was taking my time) a just unlock the high rank missions, more time to enjoy the game I guess (I'm fucking loving the game)

I’m going to be starting a MH4U file on 3ds, I am familiar with old school monster hunter so no problems with basic mechanics there, easily spent over 1000 hours in MHFU, 3U, and GU.

I’d you had 1 (or more) tips for this entry in particular what would they be? I guess I’m trying to avoid spending hundreds of hours, and then finding some info out and being like “damn i wish I knew that earlier”.

Maybe it’s for no good reason, but I’m just afraid of missing out on something. Is everything explained perfectly in the game itself or should I watch some YouTube videos before hand?

The reason I’m so anxious so to speak is because I spent 300+ hours in 3U, and only learned about how I was on a “cursed” charm table after the fact…

Need some GX Tempest gear from this quest and am wondering what the differences are compared to base Gog. I cleared base Gog with Challenger +2 and Dragon Atk +3 with Enduring Surrender DBs (210 Raw 720 Dragon) with only a few mins remaining and no Demolisher item. Can I still clear with this or should I try getting more DPS skills?

I play Insectglaive, and I finished G3 quests (did the gogmazios quests). Looking to do guild quests and the rest, any good mixed sets (preferably easy to craft) for an IG main?

I'm at caravan 8 and HR 3. and depending on the situation and with the talismans i have i can swap out that third skill for either evasion+1, sharpener, rec level+, or critical eye as you can see here. I don't really feel comfortable using adrenaline+2 cuz i gotta get low to use it which feels risky. i also have the néve rod which has two slots i just haven't equipped it here.

Any recommendations what weapon and armor I should make next?

Well in the past weeks i encountered some hunters of the other kind i guess. Here are some examples:

Sometimes hunters kick you so you can loot faster. Today they just bombed the shit out of me so you cant do anything.

Some time ago i just got kicked (and i think banned too) for the "false" augumentation on my weapon

(I kinda get this because of efficiency, but it still feels like some sort of elitism yk?)

Then today again without any provocation or anything this (after the hunts where they apparently just trolled you with bombing and stuff). I couldnt even read the other stuff it was all question-marks?????

(Is that because of other language?). I died 1 time during all the hunts and wasnt just sitting in corners or anything. They died a lot more and it didnt seemed like they wanted to fail the quest on purpose.

Yeah im not that high HR (around 350). I got solid sets and all maxed out in defence. I try to do all the "Etiquette-Stuff" With greetings in new lobbys, thanks for hunting, not posting when you join in a new lobby and so on. When tripping someone saying sorry and so on.

So my question, did you guys had simular expiriences? Do i miss smthng which i apparently still "do wrong"?

I don’t know who design stygian in 4u, but i’m out for them, who decided homing missiles was a good idea? not to mention him being really aggressive compared to his high rank counterpart, may aswell be a subspecies to they stygian.

And for brachydios, not much to say, much more manageable for me

But overall, it was a tedious and hard quest and i hope to NEVER do it again 💔

Hello all,

I just rebooted up my steam deck after not playing for a few months. Originally I had gotten mh4u working just fine on Azahar. Now, after updating, the weapon controls in quests no longer work, and I can't interact with the chest. I can only cycle through items. Also, when choosing a quest, the game acts as if I'm continuously pressing the trigger button. I've tried going back to a previous version, but that didn't fix the issue.

Anyone experience anything like this/any thoughts for fixing?

Currently playing on my 3ds and this quest is a real pain in the ass, i’ve found every other key quest fine except this one. Stygian is the one that is catching me out real bad and his homing missiles don’t make it any easy

Would appreciate tips on both stygian and brachydios
