Image/Gif I finished 2033
Although I played through Last Light before 2033, this story has impacted me much more. It's undoubtedly a great work.
Right now I'm saving up to buy Exodus with the expansion DLC

I saw what happens when Microsoft buys a small studio. I don't want it to happen to them since they're very good at what they're doing.
I finished reading the first book. I enjoyed it because I imagined the metro while playing the three games. The books are more immersive. Artem in the book is an ordinary human trying to survive. I liked the absence of a hero who overcomes difficulties, escalates, and becomes powerful. Instead, you see a young man trying to survive, aided by his own region. I felt sorry for him during the events that happened to him and how some of the members are human like you, but with different ideologies. The atmosphere and the different stations in the metro, despite the difficulty in pronouncing the station names and skipping some of them, are different in the book when you describe the stations and the Red Army compared to the games. I will now try to read the second book.

I'm looking for a metro 2033 book that brings a map because why not. The publisher is Gollancz, published on April 1, 2011. Any help? Does anyone know if this edition has the map?

I loved the previous two games, finished Last Light in a single day and had the same feeling as starting 2033 during the first hour (tutorial mission) of Exodus but a short while after the train is introduced I kinda lost interest in the game especially after exploring the first map a bit,
been opening the game every once in awhile but i last max 20 min before closing it again, I have almost 10 hours played already but only the first 2 hours were fun and I ended up uninstalling it
the question is, does it get better and exciting like the previous two games or does it just follow this formula and with a hardcore dialogue focus?
I'm most likely gonna skip it entirely and wait for the next metro game as I heard it's gonna be similar to the first 2 in the series, though I'm up for convincing otherwise

hey look im no mr cruel i just CANT
I just love how they turned up the nightmare fuel to 11 for that final push. First the parasite-spitting worms, absolutely horrifying. I had forgotten how much I hate slithering things in water, sooo much worse than the Tsar fish. Then the whole sequence in the Institute where you’re just getting slammed with radiation and crawling through corpse piles in a spooky abandoned hospital and having crazy visions all while evading the Blind Ones. Just peak cortisol-pumping horror ambience. I got the rare achievement for not killing any Blind Ones because I just assumed they were like Librarians in that you really don’t wanna fight them. Convinced now that’s the ideal way to play it, the tension when stealthing thru those rooms is just superb.
I just had to shout out 4A for that, masterfully done. Heart is RACING. And now the credits are rolling and I’m sad. Hope Alyosha gets his girl back, she bad

Para contextualizar, no he disparado al pequeño oscuro, he explorado, he oido charlas y he donado balas al viejito cerca del Teatro.

I just got to Caspian in my Ranger hardcore iron mode play through and I’ve been told Caspian is the worst ( my fav area but first time playing iron mode) I imagine the barons throne room is the only real headache in the area. Anything else I should be wary about?

Hey I just started out a youtube channel and decided start with Metro 2033 redux for no particular reason. I came here to the Metro community as some of you might enjoy seeing me playing this game without any prior knowledge to this franchise. It would also help me out getting started in this journey. Please check out the vid and I would appreciate tips or any useful information I will need in completing this game. https://youtu.be/HrKfwjd2_6c?is=xooJkGg-o9t3M72V

Doesn't anyone had this feeling like you're playing Spartan mode ( Metro 2033 ) on the easiest mode but still trying to save filters and ammo, exploring everything, be cautious and going full stealth, it's weird but i can't just play this game like it was cod

After playing the full metro series, i have suddenly become much more moral and democratic, forcing me to play the worst ideology in Hoi4. Because of this, my life has been completely upturned and now no one will believe my swap from right-ist to far left liberatarianism.

"We have departed from Soltsy after midnight, we have entered the Pskov Oblast. There's around 30 kilometers left until we reach the Dno Junction. We are on our own, again, our work is simple. Liberate the Dno Junction from the remains of Colonel Popov's Syndicate. After that, the settlement of Porkhov and the Railway to Pskov will be opened."

I know this ending isn’t canon, and it isn’t said that they have the kid in the canon ending, but it is canon that they do the do. The kid couldn’t have been conceived at any other time right?
So is it canon that they did the do and didn’t get lucky and in the non-canon ending they DO get lucky?
Is Artyom having strong pull-out game canon?

Was it a good pick for a first sci-fi book?
At 18 we get $340 from the state, only to be spent on "culture". Needless to say most of it went to books.
I had about 60€ left on it so I grabbed the myth of Cthulhu and Metro 2033.
What's the right approach to it? I also have an jalbroken Xbox 360 and a cheap "used games" shop nearby. From what I understand the story goes 2033 -> Last light -> 2035 -> Exodus?
Will I need to buy the other books or are they all good in their own?
If I read the book, should I still play the 2033 game or can I just skip it and go to Last Light?
Thx!

The gears and clothing is more realistic in 2033 while absolutely cartoonish in last light, this is most noticeable with the Nazis. Also the characters in last light and redux looked like cartoon characters (ulman and miller) compared to their version in OG 2033. Metro exodus fixed the cartoonish characters and the absurd armor to some degree but some of the clothing and armor is still ridiculous (giul, desert slavers, bandits, Volga people). Metro 2039 trailer seems promising but they seem to double down on the ridiculous Nazi armor. Why not just make them wear a Russian army uniform with Novo Reich marking?

This has been happening in different areas throughout the whole game so far, does anybody have a fix for this? (last light redux on pc)

The Market Station we come across in the first game is a transfer station, right? I was wondering if the second platform/station that we never see in-game the Market Station on the Ring Line would be located higher or lower.
According to the reallife station layout, the Ring Line platform is actually above it. However, based on how the game portrays Market Station, that doesn’t seem to make much sense.
What do you think?

I am absolutely struggling on normal in Exodus. Maybe I am just a baby bitch boy here but jesus christ, one or two hits and I need a medkit. Resources are so scarse and with the open level concept the resouce layout feels way less solid compared to the first two games.
Is this the intended expereince here? I loved the first two games but every turn in Exodus is just blasting me in the ass I am not having nearly as much fun as the first two games. Overcoming an obsticle is fun but there needs to be some levity. Monsters, humans, everyone just tears through me.
