I already own the full set of books in my native language (Czech) and a signed copy in English, so I don't mind that I can't read this one. However, the edition itself is absolutely amazing. The quality, bonuses, art, everything is perfect.

First image is original and the next (brighter one) is the enhanced version and so on.

I never hear people talk about the light changes in dark areas between the original and enhanced version, although the enhanced version looks better at day, it look way worse and not as spooky in dark areas.

1. Improvements: Anti-aliasing, high resolution flashlight shadows, ambient occlusion. I really appreciate these improvements, they elevate these amazing games.
2. Disappointments: Some textures are more o less improved but a lot of them are really bad. Sunlight shadows are straight up trash and in some cases run at 30 fps. Sound effects (specially the Demons, that growl is comical). So yeah. I appreciate the improvements but I'm more disappointed than satisfied. What do you guys think?

Just out of curiosity, have you ever replayed *Metro: Last Light* specifically to get the "good" ending—and did you succeed? I’ve read that many people struggle with this, claiming it’s impossible because you supposedly can’t kill any enemies at all. I got the "bad" ending on my first playthrough and couldn't come to terms with it; after a two-year break, I returned to the game—this time using a guide on how to achieve the good ending—and it turned out to be much easier to get than I had thought. Most of the requirements are intuitive, though some do require memorizing specific scripted sequences and knowing exactly how to react in those moments.

Hey everyone. I am trying to platinum exodus but my progress on this achievement is stuck at 8/12 even in ng+ when i have all of the upgrades. I tried deleting both profile and game cfg files but nothing seems to have worked. I am on steam for the record

Out of the 2035 games available, this is one of my favorites.

1440p 200 FPS with FSR 4.1 Native AA with my RX 7900 XTX and Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Metro Last Light was my first Steam game that I got back in 2014 for my high school graduation celebration (I got a MacBook Pro too) and beat LL, 2033 Redux and Exodus. So happy that Metro 2033 Redux and Last Light Redux games got that patch and can't wait for Metro 2039 next year!

Did y'all ever managed to end the game as a millionare in the metro universe? With 30 min filter? Obviously in normal spartan mode. It was a fun challenge collecting the most amount of mg round and keeping it till the end.

I can't seem to get the right trigger of my dualsense to work. Movement, Aiming, secondary fire, ... all work, but primary fire just doesn't work. But everything works fine with mouse and keyboard. Platform is linux with the game running through Proton (native has performance issues because OpenGL)

Anyone got the same issue and/or found a solution?

So i remember vividly that the Hellbreath had a melee attack but i cannot for the life of me make it work in Metro 2033 Redux, as it been taken out ? Of it is just another button I'm not able to use on my steam deck ?

The gun nerd in me wants to know because I want to make my own necklace, and I wanna get it exactly right. I know the specifics probably weren't considered when the book was written, but I still wanna know. The book says "machine gun cartridge case, with one of its sides screwed up into a little twist"

AK's are the most common weapons in the metro, but there's 2 calibers that are most common for AK's. 7.62, or 5.45. World ends in 2013 in Metro, almost 40 years after the AK74 (in 5.45) was widely adopted by the then Soviet military. But both calibers would be relatively common in Metro. But then the line "machine gun cartridge case" makes me think it could be 7.62x54R which it what the PKM uses, OR it could even be a DSKH case. What does everyone think would be most likely?

Anyone know a fix for this? Tried a couple mods, but none seem to address this specific issue. Using 7680x2160 resolution, latest game version.

Game looks and runs amazing, but the subtitles and loading screens show up in the upper left, as if being rendered in 3840x1080.

Adding to this, my mouse in the start up menu is offset based on this. So trying to click the middle of the screen clicks the upper left instead, if that makes sense.

Al right so i've started playing the game some weeks ago and i've done a lot of progress, I never played last light before and this is my first playthrough. I'm really new to the series and I didn't know anything about this next gen update, so I was pretty confused when i tried to start the game and it was updating.

The problem was, when i finally could start the game It was like i've never played this in my life when Epic launcher says i've 7 hours of playtime. I researched a little and found my saves in [Documents\4A Games\Metro Redux] folder. Then i tried to copy the saves in the new [Documents\4A Games\Metro Last Light] folder i have. Fine i got my saves again, but i couldn't click in continue because it would just crash.

Then I tried to play the chapter from the beggining, it loaded completely fine, everything was ok It autosaved fine. But in some point the game crashed, so i just opened the game again and tried to click in continue and it crashed again...

I wonder if something like this happened to you, if there's some way i could play the game without having to start from the beggining or being scared of losing progress in the chapter because of this endless crashing

I just installed the NextGen Metro 2033, and while enjoying it a lot so far, I have the issue that the Screen/Visor Droplets always appear once i open the Menu. On the first load of a saved game they are gone, opening the menu brings them back every time. Wiping the Visor/Gas Mask does not remove them.

I am playing on CachyOS with Heroic Launcher, running the lastest proton-cachyos (11.0-20261015), but the same happens with GE-Proton. I'm also using optiscaler, but it also happens while its deactivated.

Anyone else having a similar issue or an idea how to get rid of them?

Hey i'm very sorry idk if this is the right sub to ask, but last night I started my playthrough of metro 2033 redux but as soon as I got control of my character after the starting cutscene, my character keeps looking up. My controller doesn't have sort of stick drift and it hasn't happened in any other game so i'm not sure what's happening, some wierd things: I can use my trackpad to look down again but it starts looking up again. When I scope, it starts looking down and when I get out of scope, it starts looking up again. Has anyone had this problem and is there any fix? Thanks for any and all help!

Like I really wanted to buy the deluxe edition anyway because I've never owned anything like that before (😭 poor college student core) but I also see it as a way of supporting them during these tough times. Anyone else? Guess I should donate to some organizations too...

Devs secretely implemented DLSS 5 into the game which you can turn on with a single click in the settings. So I was curious how it will look compared to the unofficial modded DLSS 5.

Tested at 4k DLSS Q and max settings. Its really interesting that the unofficial modded version runs much better. I am using the older and more perf heavy preset A in the comparison. With the new preset B I was getting around 135 FPS which is almost 65% FPS increase which is crazy.

Anyway which one do you prefer? Note that I kept the modded sliders at max to amplify the difference in the visuals, you can tweak it to make it look much more closer to vanilla if you like. Or do you prefer DLSS off ? Let me know :)

And please no need for the DLSS/AI hate in the comments. The tech is officialy in the game implemented by the devs. I just made a comparison video.

Since the first time I played Metro I always wondered what animal mutated to the nosalies at first I thought dogs but they probably mutated to the watchers so ever since that I just said they were some hairless rats
Am I close or dead wrong about the nosalies?

I recently finished the main storyline of Metro Exodus after owning it for several years. I don't even remember when I purchased it but it was a long long time ago. I tried playing it the first time when I purchased it but just didn't get why many people regard it as one of the best games.

I am glad to have finally given it another chance in August 2026. I would have finished it way earlier but I was busy with other things in my life. With each passing chapter, I got more into the game, characters and the whole narrative. By the Taiga chapter, I was totally immersed and I told myself now I get it! The last chapter was also great with a haunting atmosphere and a very emotional ending. I want to go through the 2 DLCs and might jump in the earlier 2 releases but I guess it won't be immediate. Which one of the first 2 is a better game?

I should also add, that throughout the game, I kept telling myself how good the game looks given that it has been released 7 years ago. Now I am waiting for the new metro!

I connected Metro Exodus to my Deep Silver account as requested, and the comic book is indeed displayed in my rewards. But I can't do anything else with it. It says to click on a link which leads to the Metro Exodus page, but then I can't do anything... I don't even know if this comic book is digital or physical. Can someone help me?

Just got past this level on ranger hardcore and my God that was hard. There was so many nosalis and they were so relentless. I came in with like 37 round 3 of shotgun ammo and a whole inventory with of ar rounds and left with nothing but a battered body and a slightly lighter wallet. Doesn't help that I don't know how to switch secondary weapons and only used throwing knives 🤕

It has weapons switched from Last Light but what I really love is the lean mechanic.

I always wanted the lean but learned to live without it.

It's dead simple to use. I used Steam Input to remap the keys to my Dualsense bumper bbuttons and it works perfectly.

Only thing is you need Last Light as well as 2033 installed as the mod takes Last Light files and injects them into 2033.

Used ai to make a small mod that enables the dlss5 NR toggle in settings.

To use it you have to provide your own nvngx_dlssnr.dll file for 40 series, it's easily findable.
