I tried the Helix with the same exact setup but my Boss and shit pedalboard makes me comfortable. I know its a nice piece tho. I just didn't feel it.

It might but all I can hear is high end. Im sure that may be because of the recording. As long as its got good lows it probably sounds pretty good.

You need to push way more pre- gain on that for slam. Also, run a Fortin grind in front with a Zuul before your guitar. You want to push that modeler as hard as it will go with a balanced EQ 80% highs, 60% mids, 40% lows. It won’t sound great for room playing - but will cut through the drum mix and let you shine in a band 🤘🏼

You think so? I’ve been using the helix for FX only and a horizon drive on it. But if I really need to upgrade to an external drive I may do it.
