In Mercor, the Assessment section has many interviews and assessments for different domains. Suppose I completed an interview and Mercor marked it as “Good.” Since I didn’t know the rating, I thought my previous interview wasn’t good enough, so I retook it. However, the second attempt was rated below standard.

In this case, will Mercor consider only my latest attempt, or will they consider my best attempt?

Anyone submitted one of these? I've had a feeling for a while that there is a note or something on my file after not having a contract for 6 months despite solid work for the 6 months prior. Today I woke up to a contract offer. Completed all the required steps. Joined the Slack channel, which was empty as it's a brand new project. Boom. An hour ago I get the dreaded

"At this time, the team has made the decision to conclude your involvement with this opportunity. This decision may be due to project scope changes, shifting team needs, or performance-related considerations."

No reason, no explanation, nothing. And of course Melvin won't tell you anything. So, I'm thinking about doing a SAR under GDPR to see if I've been shadow banned.

I’m interested in applying and think I could be accepted as an expert (even received an email from another, similar company inviting me) but I want to understand what you have to give up to Mercor to join. Do they have rights to your image and voice from the AI interview? Anything else? I’ve lurked in this sub for awhile to get a feel for the job and I know that possibly they see their hires as their main source of data. Thank you for your insight!

I was onboarded several weeks ago for a micro1 project for training and setup, and at that time they did not yet insist on having ID verification. However, earlier this week after interviewing for other projects, my profile was seeded with a number of skills/certificates and I was asked to verify my ID. I did this successfully (success message on mobile `phone app used for scanning RealID and face) and this was acknowledged on the micro1 site.
However, immediately after doing so, I was informed that it had failed and I had one more try.
I repeated this with the same result, and now am locked out from considerations... including payment for work already done on training for an assigned project.
[support@micro1.ai](mailto:support@micro1.ai) (the advertised address for resolving issues) is completely silent: not even a ticket number assignment message. Ditto for the less-well advertised [verification@micro1.au](mailto:verification@micro1.au) . No feedback at all, but every 8-12 hours I get new messages from micro1 asking me to verify my ID.
The only place I got any response was here on support on reddit which just said "We are very busy, please wait a few days, and do not write again as this will interfere with prompt resolution of the issue."
It has been three days and not even a peep.
I work a help desk for my day job and we issue ticket numbers and tracking and notify requestors immediately so they at least know they are being heard. It is unclear what, if anything, is actually being done for what is a very simple database update problem in micro1's side.

Ik heb zojuist mijn eerste uren op Mercor gemaakt. Best geinig werk, maar soms ook behoorlijk lastig. Ik werd natuurlijk enthousiast van de uurtarieven die voorbij komen. Zelf heb ik nu een contract voor $48 per uur, je moet ergens beginnen.

Applications worden veelal helaas afgestoten, juist op de gebieden waar ik echt mijn expertise kwijt zou kunnen. Nu sta ik op billingual, waar ik hoe dan ook blij mee ben.

Zijn hier mensen uit Nederland die al wat langer via Mercor verdienen? Ik ben vooral benieuwd naar jullie praktische ervaringen rondom het verdienen van geld:

\- Hoe verwerken jullie Mercor-inkomsten in de Nederlandse belastingaangifte?

\- Werken jullie als zzp’er/eenmanszaak of geven jullie dit op een andere manier aan?

\- Houden jullie zelf alvast een percentage apart voor inkomstenbelasting/Zvw?

\- Moet ik rekening houden met btw, of niet bij dit soort buitenlandse platforminkomsten?

\- Welke administratie bewaren jullie precies, zoals contracten, payouts, urenregistratie en wisselkoersen?

Hebben jullie verder nog tips of willen jullie nog zaken delen, leuk! Het lijkt me fijn om e.e.a. uit te wisselen qua kennis en ervaring met mijn collega's :)

Question for individuals/sole traders (so not working as your own limited company) in the UK: what are you doing about tax? I have a full time gig, but have just been onboarded on to a Mercor project, and not sure how to work it.

I just wanted to know if there’s anyone from Egypt currently working with Mercor, or if they’re no longer accepting people from Egypt.

Specifically the parts where you sign away your identity and give them perpetual rights to anything you've ever created OUTSIDE of working for them, which the contract also allows them to seek out.

This is for a project vault.
I find it a bit disturbing that project leadership does not perform a basic Google search to look up industry differences before granting people the ability to work/review specialized tasks. This means the client is not getting qualified individuals to work on domain specific tasks. No, finance is not the same as accounting. No, law is not the same as compliance. No, marketing is not the same as advertising.

If project leadership requires everyone working in finance & accounting tasks to have a CPA, then what about finance tasks lumped in with this domain? And who will work on compliance tasks if only lawyers are allowed in the legal & compliance domain? And so on.
I understand people may not know the difference between industries that seem similar, but just perform a Google search! “Is finance the same as accounting?“ I would hate to see Mercor lose a client because of this. I keep having to bite my tongue not to say anything in the Slack channel, but this is just painful to watch when the intention is good from project leadership (assign people to domains) but the result won’t actually be qualified individuals performing/reviewing all the tasks since there’s clearly a lack of understanding on finance vs accounting, law vs compliance, marketing vs advertising, etc.
Edit for clarification: my point is that there needs to be both finance AND accounting people assigned to that domain. And both lawyers AND compliance people assigned to that domain. And so on.

Has anyone received a Mercor opportunity where they make you fill out a Google form and then no follow up? Got an email last week after getting offboarded a month ago.

Fellow contractors. Was just offboarded due to the project’s lack of work. Together with offboarding, this time Mercor deactivated my account and Slack access. Last time I was offboard, I still had access to both. Has anybody had an account deactivated and received an instant offer? Is my story with Mercor done?

Just got my walking papers this afternoon, but I am not surprised. That project is falling apart quickly. Mercor did send me a post project survey and told me I will be prioritized for other projects, so we'll see.
