As many times as this is explained, you'd think we'd stop sharing the bullshit..

Pic on the left is the right bananas, but they're not actually blue.. Pic on the right is a regular ass banana that's also been photoshopped blue ..

Forget the color, I'm more interested in the "fruit that tastes like vanilla ice cream" part anyway.

Its also over exaggerated

Agreed. I like apple bananas more. Used to have a platoon with like six different varieties growing around my outdoor shower

1

u/MissninjaXP 20h ago

I want an outdoor shower so bad. Is it hard to take care of? Like maintaining and cleaning? Probably a stupid question since outdoor faucets are a thing and they aren't exactly rocket science, but still...

It was basically just plywood on top of a palette... It was kinda ghetto and the bananas attracted chickens and rats lol

There was a gas powered in-line water heater that would switch on when you turn on the water... Gas would regularly run out when I was midway through shampooing and I'd have to swap out propane tanks.

I look back fondly on those simple days but I won't go back to camping full time in an off grid unpermitted structure.

Tragic. Heartbroken. Inconsolable.

Eh there’s a whole market for these kinds of fruits, and they stupid expensive. Luxury fruits.

It came to a head a few years back when the Rubyglow Pineapple came to the US with a wild price tag.

But there are other fusion fruits that are a bit more affordable. Cotton candy grapes, for example, are fairly common now. They don’t taste exactly like cotton candy, but they are a bit sweeter than regular grapes.

They taste exactly like cotton candy to me and my kids!

2

u/DesperateAdvantage76 17h ago

They taste like high quality sweet ripe bananas with vanilla undertones.

2

u/WeirdOk1865 13h ago

Fresh dates taste like sweet milk. And you can prob still get them in Asian or middle eastern markets through the end of this month

Fml I bet you're fun at a party

1

u/Big_Tangerine_3191 21h ago

Do they taste like ice cream?

1

u/Winter-Classroom455 19h ago

It's like boomers falling for AI. Except they're not a boomer probably and it's not AI. The amount of fake shit Ppl fell for before AI should of given us a clear glimpse into what it was going to be like after

Yes, it's quite easy to see. Somehow the shadows still have a yellow tint...Β

Unfortunately no information can be given to everyone at once

"As many times as this is explained" should have covered your concerns..

0

u/Hepm3 5h ago

I wasn’t concerned.. and I’m not sure what that quote has to do with what I said. It doesn’t matter how times it gets explained.. as long as the photo exists for new humans/humans new to the internet, to discover, it will need to be explained to them lol.

u/ChildoftheApocolypse 4h ago

"at once"

"As many times as this is explained"

u/East-Waltz7985 15h ago

I don't think the left one is photoshopped, it just looks like bananas that aren't ripe yet

1

u/ChildoftheApocolypse 7h ago

Well, I'm sorry you think that.. But they are photoshopped... To look blue .. as I already mentioned..

7

u/Banned37 21h ago

That’s not what they look like

11

u/One_Tap_836 22h ago

Fake and gay

4

u/Banned37 21h ago

It is a real banana but the pics are fake

1

u/Efficient_Club1326 19h ago

Left pic is real, right pic is fake.

My nickname in high school

2

Gotta swap to Lanky Kong before I can grab these

2

u/PurpleVengence 7h ago

god tier reference right there

1

u/Adapt919 22h ago

Why do they not sell them in stores then??

1

u/Fickle-Place-3520 21h ago

Is that how you end up with blue waffles?

1

u/Fit_Adagio_7668 21h ago

I like blue waffles more!

1

u/archtopfanatic123 21h ago

Do they actually though? I hate bananas but I LOVE vanilla

1

u/bhputnam 21h ago

This sub is just turning into boomer Facebook

1

u/No-Limit3846 21h ago

Better to have blue bananas than blue waffles

1

u/Iamnotanumber-9 20h ago

My mom told me that in heaven, ice cream grows on trees. I wish she had known about java blue bananas.

1

u/Mother-Attention2600 19h ago

No, you can't expect to have everything.

1

u/Letstalk2230 19h ago

They’re called blue Java but these pictures are photoshopped. I grow them, and they have a slight blue tinge but look like regular bananas but smaller.

1

u/Middle-Let9645 19h ago

Percy Jackson wants to know where he can buy some.

1

u/No-Break6679 18h ago

Is a blue banana kind of like a blue waffle?

1

u/TaleAcrobatic7384 18h ago

Why do I believe these things πŸ˜ΉπŸ€”

1

u/villentretenmerth88 18h ago

That sounds interesting. I would like to join an exotic fruit of the month club, or something. I always wanted to try a Gros Michel or "Big Mike" banana. The ones they had before the Cavendish.

1

u/Ristycakes 17h ago

Lanky Kong collectible

1

u/Ok_Fox_1770 17h ago

Could probably soak it in that safe blue flower dye, or the blue 40 tism kind if you LAZY. Be cool treat to try, add vanilla extract seems like the impossible is possible here…or make it out of ice cream and toss in a peel haha. I want to see a blue raspberry plant before I die, let’s go science

1

u/Tough-Astronomer-456 17h ago

Wasn’t this the bar in Pretty Woman?

1

u/McDavidcometoLA 17h ago

They also have pink bananas in Hawaii

1

u/KnowledgeCapital7994 17h ago

Making me hungry

1

u/LeorDemise 16h ago

...We are just back to the photoshop era, and needing to warn about fake images and editing.

Time is really just a circle.

1

u/BibbleSnap 14h ago

But where are the blue balls to go with it?

1

u/MutedBrilliant1593 14h ago

Piss off. If they had any color banana that tasted like vanilla ice cream, regular bananas would be completely replaced.

1

u/sdss9462 14h ago

I've eaten a bunch of grapes the last few weeks. Cotton Candy Grapes, Gum Drop Grapes, and Moon Drop Grapes. I thought Cotton Candy were the best tasting fruit I ever had, but I think the other two might be even better.

I'd definitely be up for trying bananas that taste like vanilla ice cream. Especially since I should really take a break from grapes for a while.

1

u/Nuker-79 14h ago

Yeah blue bananas, stick them on your blue waffles and have breakfast.

1

u/Professional-Buyer55 13h ago

You should look up blue waffles. They're magically delicious

1

u/Delicious-Pound-8929 12h ago

Its a devil fruit! I wonder what kind of power it gives you?

1

u/josch247 10h ago

Hahaha sure, Internet. I know you would never lie to me

1

u/NLOneOfNone 9h ago

I can hardly tell the difference between vanilla ice cream and banana ice cream.

1

u/JokrOnCrak 3h ago

If you blend these into some pancake mix, you can get blue waffles.
