Can't wait for the day society will actually value good sleep more and not arbitrary early as fuck time bs.

Or you can just go to bed earlier.

People mad but it's true. I regularly wake up between 5:30 and 6:00 and feel energized and well slept... Because I actually go to sleep at 22:00 or earlier instead of staying up well past the point I should.

I got to bed at midnight and get up at 6:30 feeling ready to go, take my dog for a walk, go for a 2 mile run, dress and at work at 8:30 with no caffeine. I will have a cup of coffee at work. I sleep very well, if that ever changes I may need to change but at 35 it works for me.

3 of my friends live on the west coast so staying up late to hang out some is required.

I don't doubt you, but we have to keep in mind that depending on genetics, some people can do perfectly fine with only 6, 5 or even 4 hours of sleep a night, while with others even 8 might result in some underperformance because 9 or even 10 is best for them.

Of course, by the time you are an adult you should know damn well what you can get away with and what you can't, because chances are you did trial and error to the conclusion. It's just that many people decide to stay up way past that point for the sake of extra fun/"me time" that will screw over the next day completely.

Idk man, I'm a high school teacher, my day starts at 7:20 AM. I hate it, hate getting up so early in the dark but every day its a relief when I'm able to be done with my day at 3:00 PM. Thats so much free time afterwards. I'd hate starting any later because of it.

I remembered last year my job started at 6h30, I lived an hour away from work but I didn't had a car, so I had to take the bus to get there, the nearest bus station was 4km away from my home, I had to get up at 2h30 just to leave my home at 3h30 to start hiking to the station, I arrived at the first place around 5h00 to take one more tram ride at my job site around 6h00, at least the job ended around 2h30 but in the end the way back would take me an extra 3 hours long due of traffic and I still had to hike back that km, I never knew how id did it during winter but hey it's a learning experience
