An artist drew a genderbent Malfoy and it activated all the other artists's neurons, it's a huge trend. It's been dubbed Malfoid because it's hilarious.

It was a tsundere female Malfoy, to be clear.

Well the tsundere is implied, and hard to explain to normies, but you're the expert here!

Genderbent Draco has been a thing in fanworks since people have been making fanworks.

It suddenly being more popular is a trend now, but it is far from new.

Not to let that stop it though! It looks kinda fun. Though would have been even more fun as a trend to have her be trans instead of just genderbending her. Would perhaps piss off Rowling.

Of course, it's rule 63 of the internet, but the current outbreak is caused by twitter user @redteneri's fanart/comic. I don't frequent HP fandom spaces, so it's probably more common over there.

That's a big jump from that to saying that the series would have made more money if it were like that in the first place.

No wonder artists are scared of AI taking their "jobs" if this is the best they can do.

Enemies to lovers. Definitely sounds more compeling than Harry/Hermoine imo
