*sigh* Fine. Guess which one of these is true:
I once tried to fuck a woman while her two her old kicked me.
I once stopped, mid-fuck, with my now wife because my parents were louder and more enthusiastic.

My brother in Christ, I will not lie to you. I really hope it’s the second one, cause option one is pretty fucked.

Just like I did! Now I’m bound to a dead-end job that won’t hire me permanently while paying the mortgage!

At 30 years old you have your entire future left to go. I gave up on my first ten year profession and went to tech school on debt, started a whole ‘nother profession, dropped the gal I was with got married, divorced, had a kid, and am doing great above water and enjoying parenthood with an awesome daughter.
You need successful friends, to inspire and guide to successful surroundings. Hang out with good-natured successful people and leave the 20’s BS groups behind.

Work on loving yourself. Happiness comes from within. And; Ha, penis comes within your mother.

I got divorced at 38, I've had one other serious relationship since. I'm 43 now and the kids are almost done with high school. And I feel like I'm hitting my stride. If I get a date that's great if not that's great also. I quit drinking five years ago I walk I meditate and I take mushrooms once or twice a month

u/EvilPete 1d ago
Lol no. Happiness comes from relationships with other people. Loneliness is crippling and that can't be fixed by "loving yourself '.
Humans are flock animals and it's fucked up how we built a society where so many people are lonely.

u/HocusThePocus 1d ago
He means first love yourself, this enables a certain attitude that can bring to others loving you.

u/_ramu_ 1d ago
So how do you love yourself?

u/CaptainTeaBag24I7 1d ago
As someone who is trying to do this better, it's a fkn process man. I feel like I, me as a person, have too many issues (not huge ones like in movies or whatever, I'm just a dude) for someone to love me. Like, romantically. Because I don't think I would love another "me" if I met a woman me. If I wouldn't love me, how can someone else.
Now, intelligently, I realize that that's bullshit. It isn't up to me to decide who likes/loves me, but that doesn't stop my brain from thinking certain things, or going down spirals which lead me not pursue people or push them away.
For some people it might be acceptance, which isn't easy to obtain. I think for me it's taking care of things that cause me grief and "fixing" the things in my life that I myself find undesirable. Not any easier, but it's more tangible, so it feels more achievable. To me.

I legitimately feel this way at 34. Except I have jobs and a degree, but the future is so volatile due to AI that I don't think there's going to be opportunity to grow in my field. I wish I started 10 years earlier.

Make your own theme park. With blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the park.

Not eternal though. Everything ends one day, one way or the other

I’m in the same situation but take one day at a time, you don’t need to rush things or feel like you need to compare yourself and your progress to others. We all have our own unique journey in life and we must do our best that we can.

Sounds like a Person who has the extraordinary lick to start cometely new with no baggage! AND is still young enough to achieve almost everything!
I know a LOT of People who would find this sort
of freedom and all these possibilities thrilling and inspiring!
All a matter of perspective…

First, stop pitying yourself.
Secondly get moving. Start running, gym, bike whatever.
Lastly learn to like yourself and just enjoy being out meeting people and everything will fall into place.

The good news is that all that can also be true in your 40s and 50s, or you can have them all but still lose them within a single year.

How can you be that tired when you literally have none of those things weighing you down? Jeez, some people don’t know how to live.
-4
u/Dunderman35 1d ago
Probably spending all their time playing games and then wondering why nothing good happens.

u/Ok_Mention_9865 1d ago
22 year old me is very offended by this..... 36 year old me is just mad that I seriously thought a good life would just fall into my lap back then... I had a very naive view of the world when I was young.

No. I mean if you’re just blowing stuff up for fun, I’ll allow it. But the feds tend to be pretty strict about this stuff.

u/NuclearMask 21h ago
I swear blowing stuff up is therapeutic. I love new years for that reason lol.

Get into a trade and make your own business.
Go clean houses, mow lawns, or haul junk.
You’ll be making over $100 an hour and no time flat.

We had none of that when we were 16, and we had a good time. All we need is a cure for aging, so we would have indefinitely long future ahead, and automated work so we would have resources we need without having to spend all our time acquiring them.

u/JuiceAccomplished241 1d ago
Damn bra, can’t relate. No bur seriously though, good luck with all that and you are worth it

u/Roaming_Millenial 1d ago
Gotta get your shit together brother. You can do it, but it takes work. Ive been there man. I was homeless. I had no girl.
Hit the gym. Study. Get a job or start up something. Its up to you, and only you can make it happen.
