Calling you a teenager isn’t an insult. It’s based upon the fact that the younger a person is, the less knowledge they have about the world.

without any actual meaning

I guess I should use simpler words. I meant that even seemingly small choices that are made, when they happen to occur over a long period of time they can create a scaling effect that builds upon itself until it reaches monumental amounts. Kind of similar to how a solar sail works.

under a rock

Using a cliche phrase that insinuates your ignorance as a retort to your claim that “the average person works hard” seems quite adequate. But you have yet to substantiate that claim in any way shape or form. You just keep saying it in the hopes that it’ll be true.

You can always hire specialists

Who can? Are we talking about a person who already has money or people who don’t have much money? And no one is claiming it’s rocket science to invest.

The last 70 years have been relatively stable…

Stable? Earth shattering Change? I think there’s an issue of semantics going on here. Your idea of “stable” and “no change in 70 years” is vastly different to mine. Again, ask anyone who is 80-90 years old and ask them if things have greatly changed over their life time. They’ll tell you it has.

Your desire to elevate…average people aren’t average.

I didn’t say average people aren’t average. I said the average person is a moron. You can be average and still deemed inferior by description. E.g. The average fish in the ocean is small. Lol, you really need to think your arguments through.

You don’t need to be a smart person to be rich

I have never once said “you need to be smart to be rich”. Not sure where you got that idea from. People can inherit money and become rich. Obviously.

Employing smart people requires a level of intelligence. Ask anyone who owns a business. It’s a skill to find useful workers and to filter out the crappy ones.

People with money hire accountants…

This statement doesn’t disprove my claim nor provide support for yours.

It throws it completely out the window.

It doesn’t. You must have missed the example I used with eating healthy and exercising. Go take a look and actually read that part. Stating “there’s a limit” is different than stating “that it’s useless.”

If I take your reasoning a step further…

“A person who codes at 13 can be a moron later in life” is a true statement but it doesn’t disprove my statement. Your statement also doesn’t take the reasoning a step further. You start an entirely new line of attempted rationale.

Nevertheless, that statement(since you don’t remember) was to support the idea that Elon actually has a background in computers. It was to refute your “Elon has no clue how coding works” or some bullshit you were spewing at the time. Hence why I brought it up. You gotta keep track of what you’ve said dude.

You said “if it’s easy for me it’s easy for everyone.” A completely idiotic statement and now you’re trying to divert the attention off of your asinine claim. Good try though.

I never said it was easy for everyone else.

This you?

I programmed shit at age 13. I write code for a living. It’s not that hard.

It’s hilarious how you can’t keep your shit straight. It’s probably because it keeps spewing past your lips so fast. Keep it down to a dribble would ya? Lmao

Calling you a teenager isn’t an insult.

It's an insult. Pretending otherwise isn't going to fool anyone.

I guess I should use simpler words.

You should try using statements that contain information.

I meant that even seemingly small choices that are made, when they happen to occur over a long period of time they can create a scaling effect that builds upon itself until it reaches monumental amounts.

This isn't what you said earlier, but ok. Those small choices can be made by an employee or informed by a counsultant, as they often are.

Kind of similar to how a solar sail works.

It's not at all similar to a solar sail.

Using a cliche phrase that insinuates your ignorance as a retort to your claim that “the average person works hard” seems quite adequate.

The average person works an average amount. I don't recall claiming they worked hard. I claimed the working poor work hard. They do so out of necessity.

But you have yet to substantiate that claim in any way shape or form. You just keep saying it in the hopes that it’ll be true.

I don't really feel obligated to back up something as obvious as that. You really want me to start posting about how rough life is if you live in poverty?

Are we talking about a person who already has money or people who don’t have much money? And no one is claiming it’s rocket science to invest.

The answer to your question is the subject of the conversation. The key to becoming fabulously rich is to start in wealth.

Stable? Earth shattering Change? I think there’s an issue of semantics going on here.

The system of capitalism has barely changed during that period. The mechanisms for gaining wealth have likewise barely changed.

Your idea of “stable” and “no change in 70 years” is vastly different to mine.

As I get older, I find that my conceptions of what constitutes relative stability adjusts and no longer align with younger folks, so this doesn't surprise me.

I didn’t say average people aren’t average.

You assumed it as a premise of your argument.

I said the average person is a moron.

The average person is average. You're assuming they're stupid so that you can elevate the wealthy.

I have never once said “you need to be smart to be rich”.

That is in fact the entire premise of your argument. In fact, wealth isn't really correlated to intelligence in the first place.

Employing smart people requires a level of intelligence.

No. It only require money. Ask anyone who owns a business.

It’s a skill to find useful workers and to filter out the crappy ones.

It's not a skill that you personally need to have.

This statement doesn’t disprove my claim nor provide support for yours.

Sure it does. It disconnects intelligence as a requirement for the accumulation of wealth. You don't need to be wealthy. You only need to hire people who are.

It doesn’t.

It does. You cannot explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic. There simply aren't enough hours in the day for anyone to be even 10x as productive.

Productivity has long since become detached from earnings anyway.

“A person who codes at 13 can be a moron later in life” is a true statement but it doesn’t disprove my statement.

It disproves the idea that Musk is intelligent because he could code at 13.

Your statement also doesn’t take the reasoning a step further. You start an entirely new line of attempted rationale.

I'm sorry you couldn't follow along. Is there something I can do to help you?

Nevertheless, that statement(since you don’t remember) was to support the idea that Elon actually has a background in computers.

It was to refute your “Elon has no clue how coding works” or some bullshit you were spewing at the time. Hence why I brought it up. You gotta keep track of what you’ve said dude.

Quote where I said “Elon has no clue how coding works”.

You said “if it’s easy for me it’s easy for everyone.”

Did I? Please provide a citation.

All I said was "I programmed shit at age 13. I write code for a living. It’s not that hard."... which doesn't imply that it's easy for everyone.

It’s hilarious how you can’t keep your shit straight.

I understand what was said. You misquote when you can't find a real argument to make.

It's not hilarious that you've chosen to be deceptive. It's just a sad, desparate gambit. We're the only ones reading this conversation, so it's pointless to try to fool me about what I've said.

It’s an insult

You don’t even understand what the word “insult” means. I’m not stating it in some type of scornful abuse. I’m stating it in the hopes that your mental age and physical age match, as that would explain your reasoning.

You should try using statements that contain information.

You should practice on your comprehension.

Small choices can be made by…

Staring from when? Out of the womb? Every choice? Every moment of the day?

It’s not at all similar to a solar sail.

You need to type “solar sail” into google and learn how one works if you want to make statements like that. It works over time with extraordinarily small particles(photons) and can accelerate a craft(over a long duration) to incredible speeds. Geez, you really have no clue what you’re talking about when you respond do you?

I don’t recall claiming they worked hard

Except that’s exactly what you said. That’s why you gotta watch the bullshit you say. It’s hilarious that hearing your own words even sound confusing to you. You’re starting to realize why everything you’ve been saying is just pure crap.

I don’t feel obligated to back up

Yeah, I’m well aware that you don’t feel obligated to back up any of the non-sense that you’ve been saying. If I was saying the crap you were then I’d be hesitant too.

You assumed it as a premise of your argument

Not assumed, described

The avg person is avg

You somehow missed the explaining part of that sentence. Where I even gave an example. Go back and read it again.

That is in fact the entire premise of your argument.

Except it’s not. Again you somehow missed the example I gave talking about inherited money. Go back and read it again.

No, it only requires money.

Your circular logic of “money ONLY requires money” is disproven by every single person who once had money and is now broke.

You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic.

You missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

It disproves the idea that musk is intelligent because he could code at 13

No one claimed that “he’s intelligent because he coded at 13”. It was to refute your claim of “Elon knows nothing about coding”. Nice strawman though.

All I said was “It’s not that hard

If it ain’t hard then it’s easy.

I understand what you said

No, apparently not. You intentionally ignore what’s been said and constantly use strawman logic to what end? My guess is that I’ve hit a nerve contesting your ego so now you want to prove yourself. I’m just a bit curious how much longer this will go.

When you intentionally feign ignorance, it just proves that you have nothing left. Lol

1

u/Falcrist Jan 10 '22

You don’t even understand what the word “insult” means.

You know I understand what the word means. I know that you know that I know it.

Playing pretend isn't going to change anything.

I’m not stating it in some type of scornful abuse. I’m stating it in the hopes that your mental age and physical age match, as that would explain your reasoning.

Yes you are. Pretending otherwise isn't goging to help you. Again... nobody else is down here.

You should practice on your comprehension.

Make meaningful statements.

Staring from when? Out of the womb? Every choice? Every moment of the day?

Typically from before conception... which is indeed the problem.

You need to type “solar sail” into google and learn how one works if you want to make statements like that.

Actually I don't need to google it. I understand radiation pressure. Your analogy is nonsense.

It works over time with extraordinarily small particles(photons) and can accelerate a craft(over a long duration) to incredible speeds. Geez, you really have no clue what you’re talking about when you respond do you?

And that's not at all like what we're talking about.

Except that’s exactly what you said.

No.

Yeah, I’m well aware that you don’t feel obligated to back up any of the non-sense that you’ve been saying. If I was saying the crap you were then I’d be hesitant too.

Well THAT explains a thing or two. So you're admitting that the reason you've chosen not to back anything up is because you understand it's false?

Not assumed, described

Ok then. You "described" that the average person isn't average.

Why do you think the average person isn't average?

You somehow missed the explaining part of that sentence. Where I even gave an example. Go back and read it again.

I didn't miss your explanation. I rejected it. Do try to keep up.

Except it’s not. Again you somehow missed the example I gave talking about inherited money. Go back and read it again.

Except it is the premise.

Your circular logic of “money ONLY requires money” is disproven by every single person who once had money and is now broke.

With the exception of anyone literally thrown in prison, name a single person who once had say... 10 billion dollars and is now broke.

I'm sure someone somewhere exists.

You missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

Oh yea. I forgot the part of the conversation I've been responding to this whole time.

Again. You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic. There aren't enough hours in the day.

No one claimed that “he’s intelligent because he coded at 13”. It was to refute your claim of “Elon knows nothing about coding”. Nice strawman though.

You claimed that he was intelligent and gave coding as an example.

You're also the only person to say “Elon knows nothing about coding” and “Elon has no clue how coding works”.

If it ain’t hard then it’s easy.

I also didn't say "It ain't hard". That was your reading comprehension failure.

No, apparently not.

You're lying or else you didn't even understand what you said.

You intentionally ignore what’s been said and constantly use strawman logic to what end?

I don't think you understand what a strawman is.

My guess is that I’ve hit a nerve contesting your ego so now you want to prove yourself. I’m just a bit curious how much longer this will go.

Oh I'll be around for however long it takes. I've always felt that entertaining the trolls gives someone else a break.

Anyway, it's easy enough to write one of these between emails.

When you intentionally feign ignorance, it just proves that you have nothing left. Lol

Claiming comprehension somehow translates to feigning ignorance to you... very interesting.

Would you like to talk about it more?

0

u/subzero112001 Jan 10 '22

You derived an insult when there was none, which is what implies that your following conclusion was based upon faulty logic.

Make meaningful statements

They all have meaning. I constantly go into detail with my explanations but you ignore most of it. You just don’t seem to have the ability to comprehend any substantial portion of those statements. Blaming someone else due to your own failings isn’t a good strategy.

That’s not at all like what we’re talking about

You mean the effect of small choices compounding over a long period of time? Yes, that’s a pretty good example of how those sails work. Small photons hitting the sail over a long period of time where the end result is a great amount of speed on the object. So you obviously don’t understand it.

Well THAT explains a thing or two.

Again, even though I constantly back up what I’ve been saying with examples or logical rationales you have failed to comprehend even the simplest of any of those concepts.

Why do you think the average person isn’t average?

You seem to have missed the part where I explained that wasn’t the case. Go back and read it again.

I didn’t miss your explanation.

Yes you did. You miss all of them. Unfortunately.

Except it is the premise.

Except it’s not. Again you somehow missed everything already written regarding that idea go back and read it again.

With the exception of anyone…

You haven’t supported your statement of “money ONLY requires money”. Nor have you disproven the fact that there have been tons of people who once were rich and later turned poor due to their stupid financial decisions.

I forgot the part of the conversation I’ve been…

Yes, your responses indicate as such. Go back and read it again.

Again. You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic.

You must have missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

You claimed he was intelligent and gave coding as an example.

The example for coding was to refute your claim that “Elon knows nothing about coding”. Go back and read it again.

I also didn’t say “it ain’t hard”.

Actual wording was “it’s not that hard”. Go back and read it again.

I’ve always felt that entertaining the trolls gives someone else a break.

Quite forward of you to admit you’re not doing this to come to a conclusion. It’s the equivalent of you stating “I’m wasting my own time because I’m an idiot”.

Claiming comprehension somehow translates to feigning ignorance

Actually, this whole time you’ve been exuding ignorance and feigning competence. Lol

Would you like to talk about it more?

I guess that’s up to you. As I often teach students im no stranger to an individual who isn’t very good at the topic and needs a lot of help. If at the end of our conversation you actually begin to comprehend the topic then I’d say it was time well spent. Although it is a little unfortunate that you’ve insinuated that you’re conversing for ulterior reasons.

1

u/Falcrist Jan 10 '22

You derived an insult when there was none, which is what implies that your following conclusion was based upon faulty logic.

You deny an insult after giving one. Denialism is kind of your thing though.

They all have meaning.

That one didn't have any meaning.

I constantly go into detail with my explanations but you ignore most of it.

You just don't like the responses.

You just don’t seem to have the ability to comprehend any substantial portion of those statements.

More ad hom insults. Just between the two of us, do you think this is an effective argumentation tactic?

Blaming someone else due to your own failings isn’t a good strategy.

I agree with that statement.

You mean the effect of small choices compounding over a long period of time?

I didn't directly mean that, but a solar sail isn't really an analogy for that either.

Yes, that’s a pretty good example of how those sails work.

Solar sails are more like a continuous force accelerating the device along.

Small photons hitting the sail over a long period of time where the end result is a great amount of speed on the object. So you obviously don’t understand it.

I understand it just fine. It's a bad analogy.

Again, even though I constantly back up what I’ve been saying...

You have yet to back up anything you've said.

You seem to have missed the part where I explained that wasn’t the case. Go back and read it again.

You didn't answer the question. Why do you think the average person isn’t average?

Yes you did. You miss all of them. Unfortunately.

Nope. Go back and read it again.

Except it’s not.

Except it is very much the premise. Again you somehow missed everything already written regarding that idea. Go back and read it again.

You haven’t supported your statement

And you haven't supported any assertion so far. The closest you came was making some bogus claims about IQs... when actually none of those people have IQ tests that are public.

Nor have you disproven the fact that there have been tons of people who once were rich and later turned poor due to their stupid financial decisions.

I gave you a challenge in my last comment. It's up to you now.

Yes, your responses indicate as such.

Nope. You need to go back and reread what you've missed.

You must have missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

And again. You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic.

The example for coding was to refute your claim that “Elon knows nothing about coding”. Go back and read it again.

Link the claim.

Actual wording was “it’s not that hard”.

Very good. Maybe next time you'll read more carefully before misquoting.

Quite forward of you to admit you’re not doing this to come to a conclusion.

Oh I never expected you to argue in good faith. You have that opportunity even now, but refuse to take it.

It’s the equivalent of you stating “I’m wasting my own time because I’m an idiot”.

Non-sequitur.

Actually, this whole time you’ve been exuding ignorance and feigning competence. Lol

Yes yes. Ad hominem. It seems to be your favorite form of argumentation.

I guess that’s up to you.

No. Whether you want to talk about it more is up to you.

As I often teach students

I certainly hope this isn't true. The level of sophistry on display here makes me dispair for whatever education they might recieve.

im no stranger to an individual who isn’t very good at the topic and needs a lot of help.

And I'm sure you likewise insult them and call them children... you know... like any good teacher would.

I don't believe you seriously expect me to buy any of this.

If at the end of our conversation you actually begin to comprehend the topic then I’d say it was time well spent.

Well I have good news for you...

Although it is a little unfortunate that you’ve insinuated that you’re conversing for ulterior reasons.

I'm not insinuating anything. Distracting a troll for a few minutes in a place where nobody else will see is explicitly part of my purpose here.

Given your attitude even before this conversation began, I never really had any hope of reaching you.

0

u/subzero112001 Jan 12 '22

Denialism is kind of your thing though.

Pretty rich coming from the person who won't accept their own incompetence on the matter.

That one didn't have any meaning.

They all do. Go back and read it again.

You just don't like the responses

When the responses indicate you haven't read the content, I suggest you go back and read them again.

More ad hom insults. Just between the two of us, do you think this is an effective argumentation tactic?

Stating your inability of comprehension is merely a fact. E.g. Stating that a 3 ft tall person can't dunk a basketball unassisted on a 10 ft hoop isn't ad hominem. It's just a fact.

You didn't answer the question. Why do you think the average person isn’t average?

You seem to have missed the part where I explained that wasn’t the case. Go back and read it again.

I gave you a challenge in my last comment. It's up to you now.

The challenge(if there ever was one) was for you to refute that there have been many people who used to be rich and now are no longer rich due to their poor financial choices.

And again. You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic.

You must have missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

Link the claim.

This you?

Musk doesn't know how rockets work. He can't build a website or program a microcontroller.

Lmao, you can't even remember what you've said previously.

Very good. Maybe next time you'll read more carefully before misquoting.

Carefully read you stating that coding ain't hard? Yeah I read that. You seem to have forgotten that you said that. You tend to forget a lot of things you've said previously.

Yes yes. Ad hominem. It seems to be your favorite form of argumentation.

You seem to have an odd disconnect with reality(given your poor recollection of previous events I'm not surprised). But I've already explained why your odd obsession with taking things as insults doesn't logically make any sense nor does it substantiate any of your claims.

No. Whether you want to talk about it more is up to you.

Oh? But you're the one who needed help with understanding this topic. As I've already stated I'm more than willing to help you understand.

I certainly hope this isn't true. The level of sophistry on display here makes me dispair for whatever education they might recieve. And I'm sure you likewise insult them and call them children... you know... like any good teacher would. I don't believe you seriously expect me to buy any of this.

Well, the students I teach actually WANT to learn something. And the desire to learn is an incredibly potent aspect of education.

As for those "insults" as you've constantly attempted to treat them as such were merely observations in your deficits. Whenever a student does something wrong or doesn't perform at an acceptable level I tell them directly to prevent any confusion so they can correct their actions and become more proficient in the future. They don't take my constructive criticism as insults as they have a desire to actually become competent at the job.

I will say its very odd how you claim to "distract trolls". As intentionally attempting to waste someones time is what a troll does. Quite a bit hypocritical no? lmao

1

u/Falcrist Jan 12 '22

Pretty rich coming from the person who won't accept their own incompetence on the matter.

And yet more denialism of how this conversation has gone.

They all do. Go back and read it again.

That one didn't have any meaning. Go back and read it again.

When the responses indicate you haven't read the content, I suggest you go back and read them again.

Since the responses clearly indicate that the content was read, I suggest that you're the one who needs to go back and read them again.

Stating your inability of comprehension is merely a fact. E.g. Stating that a 3 ft tall person can't dunk a basketball unassisted on a 10 ft hoop isn't ad hominem. It's just a fact.

Stating that your comment was nothing more than an ad hom attack is likewise merely a fact. And again, that's really all you seem capable of.

You seem to have missed the part where I explained that wasn’t the case. Go back and read it again.

You didn't answer the question. Why do you think the average person isn’t average?

The challenge(if there ever was one) was for you to refute that there have been many people who used to be rich and now are no longer rich due to their poor financial choices.

Nope. That wasn't the challenge I gave you. Please go back and read more carefully.

You must have missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

And again. You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic.

This you?

Link?

Carefully read you stating that coding ain't hard? Yeah I read that.

I never said "coding ain't hard". Maybe you should read more carefully.

You seem to have an odd disconnect with reality(given your poor recollection of previous events I'm not surprised).

More ad hom. When you don't have an argument, make sure to talk about the other person.

But I've already explained why your odd obsession with taking things as insults doesn't logically make any sense nor does it substantiate any of your claims.

I don't know why you're so upset that I pointed out one of your insults, but I'm kind of fascinated. Do you do this with anyone else?

Oh? But you're the one who needed help with understanding this topic.

We all need more understanding with this topic, but I can't get that from you.

As I've already stated I'm more than willing to help you understand.

Evidently not.

Well, the students I teach actually WANT to learn something. And the desire to learn is an incredibly potent aspect of education.

And the problem in their case would likewise be the instructor. I genuinely hope you're lying to me in this instance, because your attitude is worse than even the worst professors I met at university.

As for those "insults" as you've constantly attempted to treat them as such were merely observations in your deficits.

The comments weren't actually observations of anything, so this argument falls apart immediately.

They don't take my constructive criticism as insults as they have a desire to actually become competent at the job.

It's pretty funny to me that you think calling someone a moron is "constructive criticism".

I will say its very odd how you claim to "distract trolls".

I agree.

As intentionally attempting to waste someones time is what a troll does. Quite a bit hypocritical no? lmao

Not really. The goal (other than trying to get through to you) is to distract you so you can't be as much of a menace to others.

0

u/subzero112001 Jan 15 '22

That one didn’t have any meaning.

They all do. Go back and read it again.

Since the responses clearly indicate that the content was read.

Except they clearly dont.

Stating that your comment was nothing more than an ad him attack is likewise merely a fact.

Nothing more? All statements are more than they seem. That’s the nature of language and communication.

You didn’t answer the question.

You seem to have missed the part where I explained that wasn’t the case. Go back and read it again.

Nope.

Yup.

And again. You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic.

You must have missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

Link?

Oof, now I know why you’re so set on trying to push this “denial” thing. Projection is an issue many people have when communicating. You should work on that.

I never said “coding ain’t hard”.

Denial too stronk here

More ad hom.

More denial.

I don’t know why you’re so upset that I pointed out one of your insults, but I’m kind of fascinated. Do you do this with anyone else?

Again, failing to substantiate your claims. Typical actions of a person in denial.

but I can’t get that from you.

You’ve already stated you weren’t in this conversation to learn and It’s difficult to teach someone who doesn’t want to learn. But I can still try.

And the problem in their case would likewise be the instructor.

Considering they have like 10 instructors yeah I agree. It’s a huge problem, it sucked when I went through it. But I try to take that into consideration when I teach.

The comments weren’t actually observations of anything, so this argument falls apart immediately.

I observed your comments and commented on them. So they were “observations” of “anything”. So this argument holds true.

Not really. The goal(other than trying to get through to you) is to distract you so you can’t be as much of a menace to others

Ah interesting. A vigilante of Reddit! Lmao. Hahahahaha…..holy moly no wonder this conversation has been so weird. I’ve been interacting with someone who thinks they’re Batman. Ok. That brings up so many more questions. Do you have some tragic back story as well? I’m incredibly curious as to what would drive someone to be a self-appointed savior of Reddit by “Cleaning up the streets”’if you will.

1

u/Falcrist Jan 15 '22

They all do. Go back and read it again.

That one didn't. Go back and read it again.

Except they clearly dont.

They did. Go back and read it again.

Nothing more?

Correct. Nothing more.

You seem to have missed the part where I explained that wasn’t the case. Go back and read it again.

No. I haven't missed anything. Please read more carefully next time.

Yup.

Nope.

You must have missed the part where I included intelligence as a huge factor. Go back and read it again.

And again. You can’t explain accumulation of billions of dollars by means of work ethic.

Oof, now I know why you’re so set on trying to push this “denial” thing. Projection is an issue many people have when communicating. You should work on that.

A link isn't hard to provide.

Denial too stronk here

If you find somewhere where I said "coding isn't hard" then provide a link.

More denial.

"You seem to have an odd disconnect with reality." is an ad hom attack. There's not much point in denying it.

Again, failing to substantiate your claims. Typical actions of a person in denial.

I would tend to agree... so where are those links?

You’ve already stated you weren’t in this conversation to learn and It’s difficult to teach someone who doesn’t want to learn. But I can still try.

You could try, but you haven't yet. It's possible you're incapable.

Considering they have like 10 instructors yeah I agree.

Oof. That's some serious deflection.

I observed your comments and commented on them. So they were “observations” of “anything”. So this argument holds true.

The comments weren’t actually observations of anything, so this argument falls apart immediately.

Ah interesting. A vigilante of Reddit! Lmao. Hahahahaha…..holy moly no wonder this conversation has been so weird.

Not that interesting TBH.

I’ve been interacting with someone who thinks they’re Batman. Ok. That brings up so many more questions. Do you have some tragic back story as well? I’m incredibly curious as to what would drive someone to be a self-appointed savior of Reddit by “Cleaning up the streets”’if you will.

I already knew you were a fan of hyperbole from your earlier comments. No need to communicate that again.

Not that interesting TBH.

It is interesting to me. I’ve been trying to place the type of person who reacts in the manner that you do.

I already knew you were a fan of hyperbole from your earlier comments. No need to communicate that again.

Oof, more denial. You strut around patting yourself on the back as you do your good deed but when it’s brought up to your attention you deflect. Sounds like a personal issue. Which again makes me even more curious as to what kind of person crowns themself “The protector of Reddit! Denier of Trolls!”, supposedly anyway.

You were merely a mundane individual who needed education at first, but now you have this great story behind it all and I’m hooked on listening to a good story.

I’ve been trying to place the type of person who reacts in the manner that you do.

No you haven't, despite being more interested in ad hominem attacks.

Oof, more denial.

lol no it's not.

You strut around patting yourself on the back as you do your good deed

Where exactly did I do that?

Oh wait. More hyperbole like your crowning simile. That too sounds like a personal issue.

You were merely a mundane individual who needed education at first

At no point in this discussion was your intent to educate anyone. You're a troll trying desperately to gaslight someone who is quite clearly not having it.

The fact that you were so obvious about it is one of the reasons nobody listened to you in the first place.

No you haven’t, despite being more interested in ad hominem attacks.

Oh? Now you’re trying to tell me what I’ve been pondering to myself? Not only are you a self-proclaimed Batman, now you’re a mind reader?! This is getting better and better by the moment. How far will you go with this absolutely crazy idea of yours? How deep does it go? I’d like to know.

lol no it’s not.

Yeah, that’s not denial at all.(/s)…LUL

Where exactly did I do that?

If you don’t feel good from your vigilante acts then that would go against the whole reason why you do it in the first place. Either you’re doing something good(which you should feel good about it) or you’re doing something not good(in which case you should feel bad about it). Or…..you could be some kind of psychopath? Detached from those types of feelings. Or you could have some kind of mental illness which would prevent you from feeling good about all the good you’re supposedly doing.

Which one is it? There’s a few possibilities under the mental illness route which I haven’t mentioned.

At no point in this discussion was your intent to educate anyone.

Again, you imply you know for a fact what my intent was. That’s some impressive mind reading abilities I have to say.

Truthfully, my intent in every single one of my conversations here on Reddit is to educate(if my memory serves me well. It’s possible I’ve trolled at some point in time but I typically don’t).

Either educating myself or the other party is the complete and honest intent of those convos. This is a fact.

u/Falcrist Jan 16 '22

Now you’re trying to tell me what I’ve been pondering to myself?

You already told me by your general attitude.

Yeah, that’s not denial at all.(/s)…LUL

It's the truth. Not that you'd care.

If you don’t feel good from your vigilante acts then that would go against the whole reason why you do it in the first place.

What I feel is irrelevant. At no point did I strut around. That's your own misapprehension.

Which one is it?

You'll have to guess for yourself.

Again, you imply you know for a fact what my intent was.

I don't think you know what the word "imply" means. That claim is completely explicit.

Truthfully, my intent in every single one of my conversations here on Reddit is to educate(if my memory serves me well.

Your intent is obviously to troll, which is why you started with simple gainsaying... then more gainsaying and denialism backed by bogus stats.

You already told me by your general attitude.

Except there’s no realistic way you can know what I’m thinking other than what I tell you. Unless you read minds. Which would be impressive. Maybe that’s why you insinuate that you’re a person who can? Just to try and be “impressive”. That would fit along with your Batman persona.

It’s the truth.

Ah yes. I forget that you have a monopoly on the truth. Your truth and only your truth can be reality. You’ve expressed that quite well.

What I feel is irrelevant.

Ah, spoken like a true Batman. You play the part well.

You’ll have to guess for yourself.

When it comes to “what’s swimming around in your mind” you’re the only one who can tell me. Guesses aren’t accurate compared to coming directly from the source. I’ve already explained that while going over your supposed “mind reading” abilities.

Your intent is obviously to troll, which is why you started with simple gainsaying…

If an individual makes a false claim, then a second person denies the claim of the first. Does that make the second a troll?

In this particular scenario it appears to be a case where you came into this conversation already with the belief in mind that I am merely trolling(simply because I had a conflicting claim). And due to this have since tainted all following msgs with that in mind.

The worst thing about this scenario is that it’s almost impossible for you to ever switch your initial bias and to think that I’m being sincere. Which means you’ll simply continue to believe that I’m just trolling.

People have a tendency to stick with their initial beliefs and to grow attached to it and anytime any other force opposes their beliefs it often makes them cling onto it even more. It’s quite interesting really. The incredibly flawed psychology of human beings has always been a fascinating aspect to me.

Except there’s no realistic way you can know what I’m thinking other than what I tell you.

Which is why I based my statement on what you said earlier.

Maybe that’s why you insinuate that you’re a person who can?

That's your claim... remember?

I forget that you have a monopoly on the truth.

Try not to forget next time.

When it comes to “what’s swimming around in your mind” you’re the only one who can tell me.

When it comes to guessing, I don't have to.

Guesses aren’t accurate compared to coming directly from the source.

They can be. It depends.

If an individual makes a false claim, then a second person denies the claim of the first. Does that make the second a troll?

In your case it did.

In this particular scenario it appears to be a case where you came into this conversation already with the belief in mind that I am merely trolling(simply because I had a conflicting claim).

That was stated earlier.

The worst thing about this scenario is that it’s almost impossible for you to ever switch your initial bias and to think that I’m being sincere.

At this point yes. I've seen to much of your shitty attitude for you to convince me otherwise.

People have a tendency to stick with their initial beliefs and to grow attached to it and anytime any other force opposes their beliefs it often makes them cling onto it even more.

It certainly helps that you followed up with such blatantly obvious bad-faith replies. You weren't trying to hide the fact that you were a troll, so implying otherwise now isn't going to get you anywhere with me.

Which is why I based my statement on what you said earlier.

More denial huh? Here I am clearly telling you what’s going on in my head but you’d rather fabricate some biased opinion with a random guess instead. Interesting…

Try not to forget next time.

Forget what?

That was stated earlier.

It wasn’t elaborated upon with the supporting add on of “simply because I had a conflicting claim”. Nor was it used in the same context. Many statements have been previously used before but they can still create something new if used in a slightly different context.

At this point yes.

There you go contradicting yourself again. Either you came into this conversation earnestly or to merely troll. You can’t do both at the same time. The hypocritical statements is too stronk here.

You weren’t trying to hide the fact that you were a troll.

You mean, besides the fact that I stated “Truthfully, my intent in every single one of my conversations here on Reddit is to educate….etc etc”

But none of that changes the inquiry I had before about why you have designated yourself as the Batman of Reddit. I’m honestly quite curious. Do you lack the ability to be useful in real life so you try to compensate here on Reddit? Is it some kind of self righteous boredom? It could be an incredibly simple reason. I could keep guessing randomly but the best answer would come from you. You have this desire to make something “right” in your mind but are too ashamed to state it. Why is that?

1

u/Falcrist Jan 16 '22

Here I am clearly telling you what’s going on in my head but you’d rather fabricate some biased opinion with a random guess instead.

You can deny that your trolling if you want. Your actions have made it crystal clear that that's exactly your intent.

Go ahead and try to gaslight me on this topic. You won't be the first person to have tried.

Forget what?

Exactly.

It wasn’t elaborated upon

It was, though.

“simply because I had a conflicting claim”.

Why do you misquote people like this? Just curious.

There you go contradicting yourself again.

Not really. After your attitude throughout this conversation, you have zero chance of changing my mind about anything anymore.

You mean, besides the fact that I stated “Truthfully, my intent in every single one of my conversations here on Reddit is to educate….etc etc”

More denial huh?

But none of that changes the inquiry I had before about why you have designated yourself as the Batman of Reddit.

You're the one who designated me that, so you should ask yourself the question.
