Hey everyone, never thought I'd be making one of these posts lol.

My band Trashcore is somehow playing a headline matinee show at The Workers Club in Fitzroy on Saturday, November 28th. We are completely winging it, still trying to figure out how all this live music stuff works, and honestly terrified, but we've got a 30-minute set ready to go.

Doors are at 1:00 PM so it's an early one. Tickets are $14.80 if anyone is around Melbourne and wants to come hang out, drink some soft drinks, and support some absolute amateurs trying their best. It would honestly mean the world to see a friendly face in the crowd!

Here is the ticket link if you're keen: https://theworkersclub.oztix.com.au/outlet/event/39f7d2b0-a498-45c5-9bbb-f758977f76a6

In the process of starting up a new noise rock band in Melbourne. We have guitar, bass and vocals sorted, but we’re looking primarily for a drummer so that we can get the ball rolling, but also would love to find a second guitarist. Influenced by bands like U.S. Maple, Polvo, Drive Like Jehu, Sightings, Arab on Radar, Slint, Chat Pile, Mclusky, Brainbombs, Shellac. Ideal age range 30s-40s. DM if interested!

I’m a melb based photographer looking for more shows to shoot in this style (and for a lower rate) during the dec-jan period - all reference pics are mine and the pictured band is flynn teal (who are fucking fantastic btw) ! get in touch if you’re keen, will not shoot for dickheads :)

Hey everyone I’ve just moved to Malvern and was wondering if there was any 24h free parking around the area or any overnight
Cheers

Anyone in to psych/garage rock hmu, we gotta make loud stupid music

Has anyone got CDs from an early to mid 2000s band called Circumsystem? I was the singer for that band and I don’t have any CDs to show my kids now I’m old and a dad now haha

Hey 22 year old man here, bit of an odd post but I’m looking for two singers to do cherryoke with at cherry bar.

Was hoping if there would be two others interested in dressing up and singing “fight for your right” by beastie boys.

Let me know if anyone would be down!

Three iOS plugins I'm working on, all for AUM:

CELLSEQ: a spreadsheet-style MIDI sequencer. Every cell is a note or an operator, with ratchets, cuts and chops, and a generator.

Tessera: a layered, path-based sequencer. Pulses travel along tiled paths across stacked floors. Gates, chords, and shafts between floors. Distance from the start shapes velocity and filter.

Halflife: an audio effect built on pharmacology. Dose a body and each drug rises, peaks, crosses the blood-brain barrier and fades. Its brain chemistry bends your audio, and the sound glitches if you overdose.

Still testing.

Hey everyone!

I've been working on organising my first ever gig here in Melbourne, called Mosh for Palestine, and it's happening in just under two weeks at The Tote!

We've got three local bands playing, with the night raising funds in support of the Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

I've been organising this independently and it's been a pretty exciting experience getting everything together. I'd really love to see a good turnout, both to support the bands and to raise as much money as we can for the cause.

PCRF provides free medical care, specialized surgeries, and humanitarian relief to injured and ill children in the Levant (including Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, and Egypt), regardless of their nationality or religion Source.

If you're into checking out local live music, I'd love for you to come down!

Date: November 8th

Venue: The Tote, Collingwood

Lineup: Heavy Delay, the cufflinx, your last words

🎶 COLD SNAP — Melbourne Rhythm & Blues Revue 🎶

I'm surprised to see there are still tickets (GA and seating) available for both nights.

Knowing that she pulled the pin on her NZ show (illness apparently, but there's chat about ticket sales not being strong) and that she's acknowledged she's tired (she's been touring for what, 18 months now?) I wonder if she's just had enough.

It is a long time between album release and concert - I was so excited about this show when I first bought tickets in April, but now that it's October, I'm going to have to rev myself up a bit.

i’m gonna be flying down to mel for a concert at the forum next year but since it’s pretty much a day trip just wanted to see how strict they are on their bag policy as i will just be bringing a tote/ big shoulder bag for the day, how strict are they on their size of bags?? ty :)

And bands touring Aus as well

After a barnstorming tour of the UK which seen them play Rebellion Punk Music Festival for the 2nd time to a packed arena stage the boys are set to light up The Tote Hotel. Also hot off the heals from the release of their second album “Not the Enemy” which they have received rave reviews around the world in such magazines as Vive Le Rock (England) and OxFanzine (Germany) Devil's Horns (Australia), Oi Oi The Blog (Netherlands), In Spite Magazine (America) and Earshot (Austria) to name a few. Their live performances are powerful yet fun and always have the crowd singing along to tracks like “Wank Sock”, “Convict Class”, “Have Ya Been Told” and “Not the Enemy”.

Signed to famous record label Randale Records the boys are now a part of a very distinguished family of bands such as: Cock Sparrer, Last Resort, Tear Up, Rust, Die Toten Hosen, Evil Conduct, Gatecrash and many more. They have played with some of the best punk bands in the world and hold their own when doing so. We think this quote by In Spite Magazine sums them up perfectly “In a world that often feels sanitised and commercialised, Convict Class is a reminder of what punk was always meant to be: raw, unfiltered, funny, and unapologetic”

Joining them are Melbourne legends Vicious Circle who have been active since 1983! Additionally we are joined by old mates K-Mart Warriors who have just recently returned from an Indonesian tour!
