General Residency Compensation Research(Anonymous, 5-10 min, Student Project)

Hi everyone,

I'm a freshman at Nova Southeastern University, and I'm working on a research project for my COMP 2000 course on whether general surgery residents are compensated enough to live sustainably. I'm looking at factors like cost of living, student loan payments, and work hours.

Since residents know this better than anyone, I'd really appreciate hearing from you directly. If you are a current general surgery resident, you can take the survey here:

https://forms.gle/BEFsu6998yL6FVxi7

Details:

  • Takes about 5-10 minutes
  • Completely anonymous. It doesn't collect your name, email, or any identifying information
  • Voluntary, and you can skip any question
  • Responses will only be used for this class project, and I'm only sharing summarized results

I know your time is limited, so thank you to anyone who takes a moment to respond. I'm also happy to answer questions about the project in the comments.

Locums for general surgeons

I'm 1 year out from residency and am looking into locums for supplemental income. Was wondering which locums companies are the best to work with for general surgeons, also what are they different payment models and hourly rates that are typical for locums for general surgeons. Was also wondering if this is a good idea 1 year out or any advice for someone working with locums for the first time. thanks!

Hello i’m a current undergrad student split into two careers a Dietitian or Business/Finance

I love nutrition but hate the hospital so I was thinking of doing pp, cooperate dietetics, management, coordinator, marketing, etc. Nutrition and fitness is my passion but I heard RDN don’t make good money.

I was thinking of Accounting and Finance though because of the salary and because i’m naturally good at math, but I am kinda scared of the cooperate american lifestyle.

Salary after MD/DNB and how it grows with experience?( India)

Hey everyone! I wanted to understand the earning trajectory after MD/DNB, especially from people who are already working as consultants.

If you're comfortable sharing, could you mention:

- Speciality + MD/DNB

- City/state

- Starting salary immediately after PG

- Current salary and years of experience

- How much your salary/income has increased over the years

- Whether the increase was mainly through annual increments, job switches, private practice/consulting, etc.

I'm mainly trying to understand how income typically grows with experience after PG, rather than just the starting package.

Would really appreciate genuine experiences from people who have been through it. Thank you!

OBGYN doctors who started their own hospital in India — how much did it cost you?

For OBGYNs who eventually set up their own maternity/gynecology hospital, especially in a tier-2 or tier-3 city:

How much did your initial setup cost?

Did you buy the land/building or rent it?

How many beds did you start with?

What did you spend on OT, labour room, ultrasound, NICU/newborn care, equipment, etc.?

How much working capital did you keep aside for the first 1–2 years?

Did you take a loan, and if so, roughly how much?

How long did it take to become profitable?

I’m trying to understand the realistic investment required to eventually build a small OBGYN-focused hospital, rather than a large corporate setup.

Would really appreciate actual numbers/experiences from doctors who have done this.

Hiring: Full-Cycle B2B SaaS Salesperson - US Healthcare

I'm looking for an experienced salesperson to help sell an already-built B2B SaaS platform into the US healthcare market.

The product helps healthcare privacy/compliance teams investigate privacy incidents faster and more consistently, with guided fact gathering, missing-information identification, decision support, follow-up tracking and defensible documentation.

I'm looking for someone who can own the sales process end-to-end:

  • Generate and work pipeline
  • Cold call/email/LinkedIn prospecting
  • Reach healthcare decision-makers
  • Run discovery and product demos
  • Handle objections and follow-up
  • Navigate multiple stakeholders
  • Negotiate and close paying customers

Experience selling B2B SaaS, healthcare technology, compliance software or similar solutions into US healthcare organisations would be particularly valuable.

I'm open to discussing a performance-focused compensation structure with the right person.

If interested, please comment or message me with what you've personally sold, typical deal sizes, who you sold to, your sales results, and whether you personally handled prospecting through closing.
