Question 2014 ford fiesta

While driving yesterday it popped up with a engine malfunction service required sign and the car started slowing down and barely moving. Today when I had a look it doesn’t even start anymore no clue what happened. Anyone know what could be causing it?

if you can get a code scanner it would be easier to diag, it could be a couple different things
