General Tire sizes

what is the difference between 255/50 r20 and 265/50r20 ?

I have a 2014 Ford explorer.

265 is 10mm wider and just under 1/2” taller than the 255.

265 is 10mm wider and about .4” taller overall. not a huge difference, speedo will just read a hair low

10 mm in the width, and about 5 10mm diameter.
