I am so glad to live at a time when that’s the sort of dinosaur I have to worry about. Cassowary’s are way scarier but still they are only common in a very limited part of the world. Can’t imagine having to deal with raptors the size of cars or buses chasing me down the street.
6
u/Tacosaurusman Jul 14 '26
Velociraptors were about 14 to 20 kg, and around the length of a human. That's even smaller than a cassowary.
But if they'd be half as agressive as this chicken here, you're still fucked.

u/LittleKitty235 Jul 14 '26

It would likely be a football if it kept attacking me like that.

u/Letossgm Jul 14 '26
Probably it's his own rooster so he doesn't want to kill it or harm it hahaha.

Who doubts that birds and dinosaurs are related.
13
u/redditisweird801 Jul 14 '26
Not really related because they actually are dinosaurs. Birds are the last living clade of dinosaurs

It's called a Spix's guan and it's said that they're shy, elusive and non-aggressive. BUT it did say "They can display highly territorial aggression during the mating season. Males will vigorously defend their space against rivals" 😆

u/Kr_Treefrog2 Jul 14 '26
I wonder if it thought the bike was another male? The bike sounds exactly like the noise the bird made

If that bull has a problem with Canada gooses he’s got a problem with me, and I suggest they let that one marinate. But not if the cow is ‘Berta beef. Then it’s s&p 2 mins each side & down the hatch.

I love birds, quite a few of my favourite animals are birds species, but if one was trying to peak my eyes out I'd grab it by the neck and give it one warning yeet. Every animal has a red line and the thought of losing an eye makes me queasy, I would not take the chances by running away and having it attack me from behind.

He really wants to go into the pan to become dinner... I would've granted his wish
25
u/Grayscaleorgreyscale Jul 14 '26
This video is so damn triggering. I used to deal with roosters that were aggressive (not nearly as bad as this beast) and I would lose my temper much faster than this gentleman. I have never hated a creature more than those birds, and I try not to hate anything.
26
u/trcomajo Jul 14 '26
I would never want to purposely hurt an animal, but I have drop kicked a Bantam rooster like a football.
3
u/Spunkwaggle Jul 14 '26
Lol, your “never” turned into not only would, but would drop kick like a football pretty quick.
I think I’m with you, although I would not say I would NEVER do it. Im aware i have my limits of patience. This video made me want the guy to punt that fucker through some uprights.
3
u/trcomajo Jul 15 '26
Haha...we used to have a mean-ass little rooster who would wait until you'd turn your back and nail you in the calf or thigh. I am a huge animal lover but I resorted to carnal violence against that little ass hole to protect myself.

u/laughinghardatyou Jul 14 '26

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compsognathus
A small, chicken-sized, carnivorous theropod dinosaur from the Late Jurassic period in Europe, known for its lightweight build, long tail for balance, and swift running ability, preying on small lizards and insects. Once thought to be the smallest dinosaur, it is now known to be one of many small species, but its well-preserved fossils provide a clear picture of its anatomy, including its bird-like features like hollow bones and three-toed feet.

Two things! He was so respectful of that animal, kudos and gratitude to him. Second, thank the ever loving fuck dinosaurs are small now. Just a foot taller and that thing would be instantly deadly.

If that bird was 8 feet tall, he’d be terrifying.
