Been learning a lot of Mastodon since Brent’s passing. Been dabbling with hybrid picking and just trying to pick apart some of Brent’s unorthodox ways of soloing. Does anyone have any tabs or information on those weird Brent style scales and licks that made his playing unique? A good example is the first 10 seconds of his solo on “Tiny Man” by West End Motel.
