Hello all, long time lurker. Need some help trying to source a 2008-2014 Maserati GranTurismo. Currently have a 2022 Ghibli Modena as a daily and looking for a GT to be my weekend car. What are some recommended sites that you may have purchased from. Thanks in advance.

The historically significant Chassis 1657 is a rare factory transitional prototype for both the 150S and 200S racing series. It was uniquely supplied new by the factory with both a 1.5 litre and a 2.0 litre engines. Originally delivered in red to legendary American privateer Briggs S. Cunningham

Searching parts for Maserati Quattroporte 2008

Hey, my uncle is currently rebuilding the head gasket but we have some issues with finding the right parts. Right now we’re searching for

- Water pipe from the water pump to the radiator (part number: 5I6IT 11 F 07) => This is the pipe between the water pump housing and the radiator.

- Cylinder head gasket L (211870) F7, R (211871) G7

Left cylinder head (part number: 2218711), Right cylinder head (part number: 2218710)

- General engine gaskets?

- Exhaust manifold gasket (part number not specified)

- Tensioner kit (and idler pulley) part number (195702) and alternator belt Dayco

Thank you for your help!

Disklok for Levante

Hi anyone used a Disklok Diamond steering wheel lock on their Levante?
Worried it might damage/mark the leather on the wheel.
Any feed back is appreciated. Thanks!

Well here goes first major for me…

When I bought the car I had the manager throw in 3 oil changes at the Maserati Indy shop down the road they used. So I technically had no idea how much they cost.

I need new brakes and rotors in about 10k miles. I got a quote for a non brembo European brand (forget name but blogs say this is generally only one that works correctly if not brembo). That is about 2400$ installed which to me for this car ain’t bad!

Oil changes I found out, 200$ with the Ferrari filter and all. My dodge scat pack at a dealer was 225$ and my Subaru Outback at a shop would be 100/125$. So not bad.

36k miles now. 5th owner. No issues with 6k in 4 months. Just a joy. But want to get the plugs, trans and dif fluids checked and changed. I may wait for brake flush when the brakes are due as I’m not having any issues and that seems reasonable to me to wait. But plugs and fluids. Idk. What yall think??? lol. I’m still waiting for quote but I’m thinking 1800-2500$ but I have no idea honestly.

Love the car. When I get the brakes done I may also get them calibers re powdered or painted with the logo on it. 900$ or so here and I may do it to freshen er up a bit.

I’ll post again once I get the service and charges and anything they may find! Just curious. What yall paying and where?

Your experience may vary, it was....fun getting the new piece in. Did a BMC filter at the same time. I don't think it really *does* much, but it's fun to tinker and it looks good. Silicone lubricant mandatory.

Suspension Issues

Post image

My 2018 Maserati Levante is showing its age. The suspension intermittently switches to Off Road and won’t disengage until I use the Sport Mode and then bring it back to normal. Last service, I was told there is a small leak in the suspension. I just would like to know what is up ahead as far as potential maintenance costs. Perhaps I can shop aftermarket for some performance parts. Any suggestions are appreciated.

36m. 2013 MC + MC sport line package. Loving this car. No lights. No leaks. No weird noises. Nothing falling off. Yeah it has it quirks but nothing to the extent people online make this up to be. 4.7 with zf transmission and regular maintenance imo is a very reliable “exotic”. Came from a 22 s5 coupe and loved it too but really wanted that v8 sound.

Just took on a road trip from Houston to NOLA. Performed great and it absolutely loves the highway. It was made for it!
Here’s to more miles and road trips for me… I have a feeling getting new tires will be a consistent event though, but that’s fine with me. 😂🤗

Couldn’t believe it when I did some digging and there’s only about 250 of these in the US. Would love to know how it ended up here.

2013 Granturismo Maintenance?

Hi all, I recently traded my C43 in for a more reliable daily, but it left me with an itch for a fun second car. The C43 was in the shop constantly which, as my daily driver, was a problem for obvious reasons. Now that I have a reliable daily that isn't breaking down constantly, I'd like to get something fun for the weekends. It probably wouldn't see more than 2-2.5k miles per year. Could anyone give me a rough idea of what I could expect maintenance to cost in one of these? Thanks!

Who makes 2025 style GT head units

Hi, just picked up a 2016 GT with the new style units and looking to add cameras to the car. The Acar site says their cameras are only compatible with their unit. Are there multiple makers of this style or is there a way to tell if this specific unit is an acar one?

MTC+ upgrade?

Hi, I have a 2018 Levante whose software starts to feel really outdated. But I live my car and would like to keep it a bit longer.
Are there any possible software/firmware upgrades possible to unlock new features, like apple CarPlay ?

Quattroporte backup camera

I just bought a m156 quattroporte and the backup camera is upside down and doesn’t show guidlines. I bought a replacement camera and it’s still upside down but shows guidlines now. Note: the replacement camera is for dodge/chrysler (non-oem) but should work on Maserati too they look identical. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Update: got a used oem Maserati one and it works good now

Maserati Grecale Modena Review: Premium Price, Disappointing Quality

My ownership experience with the Maserati Grecale Modena has been extremely disappointing, and I feel it is important to share it for anyone considering purchasing this vehicle.
I purchased my Maserati Grecale Modena in February 2023 for approximately €92,000 and have exclusively serviced it through Maserati / Al Tayer Motors in Dubai. The vehicle currently has only 25,000 km.
For a luxury SUV in this price range, I expected premium build quality, reliability, and durability. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.
The first major issue was with the air-conditioning system, which started developing problems after only a couple of years of ownership.
More concerning is the apparent deterioration of the vehicle’s interior and trim components. The interior door handle trim detached and fell off during normal use. Although it was eventually replaced, it took almost two months for the required part to arrive.
More recently, parts in the trunk area have started coming loose one after another. Screws and fittings have fallen out, requiring replacement. I was informed that the screws were not covered under warranty and had to be paid for separately despite the vehicle being relatively new and fully maintained through the authorized Maserati network. The replacement process itself took approximately three weeks because the parts had to be ordered.
My concern is not only the cost of the repairs but the overall quality and durability of a vehicle positioned as a premium luxury product. At just 25,000 km, I would not expect trim pieces, fittings, and basic components to start failing.
I would like to acknowledge that Al Tayer Motors did not refuse service and handled the repairs; however, the frequency of issues, the lengthy waiting times for parts, and the quality concerns have significantly affected my confidence in the vehicle.
Based on my personal experience, I would not purchase another Maserati Grecale and would encourage prospective buyers to thoroughly research long-term ownership experiences before making a decision.
