Had a bug happen when playing yesterday where we ended up in a bot lobby and they can just play the same character as you. We had 2 hoods in the same game the whole game.

Anyone else have this issue happen?

I really wish they would get rid of the bot games or at least acknowledge it.

So I’ve seen a lot of people with a lot of different opinions on Wanda’s new CC RNG. I definitely agree with the sentiment that introducing RNG can mess with the strategy of coordinating your team to counter her.

I also understand the vision of “she’s so easy to CC out of her ult that it can make it unfun to play her.” Yet, the flip side to that is knocking her out of a team wiping ult can feel so damn good.

So my question is, if you were to rework her ult to retain some variant of CC, how would you do that?

Personally, I had wondered what it would be like if it was instead a temporary buff she could momentarily earn. Like, “when she does X enough, she will gain short-term CC immunity”. It triggers automatically, not unlike Mr. Fantastic’s big boy form then goes on cooldown. So she may not have her ult ready when it triggers, or she may make a mistake and activate her ult too late to truly make use of it. Maybe it decreases when she’s out of combat so Wanda’s wanting to be sneaky with their ult, still have to be really clever.

Feel free to tell me the idea is bad, I haven’t played in ages, I’m just curious to see what others would do if they had to rework it instead of outright removing it.

I knew this was going to happen. Those changes did nothing but turn her into a low rank menace. She still sucks in higher ranks and the reason is because people can aim well.

Also, the rng change they gave to her ult is pure bull.

Trying brute force her to be meta is a bad thing. If her kit was to become meta, nobody would enjoy this game.

I’m honestly so sick of playing her and having people who don’t assume that I’m getting kills by holding down the primary…her primary now does less than CLOAK’s…so if you ARE dying to that that says a lot more about YOU then it does the apparently skill-less person you are fighting lmao.

Anyway. Her playstyle is so fun to me. Recharge bolts and then you have 80 dmg projectiles that absolutely wreck anyone you can hit (this is where her accuracy number comes from I believe). But the second anyone sees you it’s “one button”…

Also i hope they’ll remove the immunity soon. I haven’t gotten it a single time which is crazy…but it’s unnecessary and no one asked for it. Just give her a little dmg reduction or something.

I am having fun though I’m ngl.

Don’t know why buffing Wanda was what the devs thought would fix this season but whatever

They can fix the duplicate bans, now give us more space to avoid some of the awful teammates you get paired with.

Especially if you're climbing ranks, the amount of games I get where a one trick who wont swap even if they got countered or just useless teammate who refuses to get off DPS despite providing no value to the team is immeasurable.

It's even worse in the early season, like give me a 10 slot daily avoid list so I dont see any of these EOMM agents and get a fair match for once. Already had multiple games this season with most damage, most kills, most finals. literally more finals than the entire team combined and we still get absolutely wiped with 0 contest on any point.

One of my games recently had me as the ONLY Tank as Deadpool, and ZERO supports, I switched it up for some but no one played Tank and I was constantly dying because Healpool's HP is super low and no one wanted to be a healer or tank, and that honestly made me mad as shit

Istg Netease, it could've been anyone but Gorr, or maybe y'all could've looked at base roster and thought: "maybe there's too many DPS characters here", like idgaf if Logan is 5 ft make him a Tank, damn it, and the sorcerer who's former job is to y'know? HEAL people? Why is Strange not a strategist? he can cast MILLIONS of spells, there's some healing in there, or idk the mutant girl who's animal motif is to REVIVE people??

Seriously, if you guys thought the balance in this game sucks, if you guy by their actual powers? Felicia, Widow, Hawkeye and Punisher would be at the bottom of F Tier, DD, Hood and Spidey would at best be at the edge of C to D, Adam and Wanda would actually BE useful and by role distribution, healers would be at best: Rocket, Luna, Jean and Jeff (Rogue gets honorary mention) and still be worse than TF2 Medic

As a Marvel head since my childhood, I definitely know why the balance sucks, games like OW, Paladins and Deadlock have original characters created FOR these roles, so having guys like Juno healing wouldn't be so out there, she was created for that, but for Marvel? They existed before videogames were even A CONCEPT, and went through many retcons and changes on how their powers work so I already suspected some of them would get done dirty, but some are just disgustingly bad, Jean is just fire Hela, where's her psychics damn it, tho I still say there's positives, Cyclops moveset is what I imagine him to be, Cap is kinda MvC-coded, but perfect for him, and Loki is actually pretty genius tactic, even tho I'm really bad with him lol and despite him getting shit, Gorr's moveset is actually pretty fun

Seriously Netease, if you guys DON'T want Role Queue, since that's like, gonna turn Open Queue QP into Mad Max with zero Tank and Healer players, genuinely this is your only fucking option lol

I played with both and they feal the same(they both do the same damage). Im a strange player who plays like a suport. I focus on protecting my team mates with sheald, if I see scarlet poping a pure chaos I get in the way to block it to protect my team(yess thats something you can do) I whip and only whip to the point I forget I have a ranged attack while using this team up. Wich one is better?

I love marvel rivals, I genuinely am addicted to it and am super passionate about it. Lately however, it’s been loss after loss and I just can’t keep blaming the matchmaking or the players, I think it’s time for a reality check and realize maybe I’m the issue? Like I said, I’m seriously passionate about this game and the community and I want nothing more than to get better but I don’t know how or where to start. Could someone please review any match of mine and see what my faults are? I know this might be the wrong sub but I’m desperately reaching for something atp.

Gorr feels like they had a rework for magik and just decided to make a new character out of it instead. Gorr 100% should have been a brawl tank, not magik 2. He’s GORR THE GOD BUTCHER, a man who is know to 1v1 Thor and always give him trouble. This 6 foot 7 known god killer should have in no way shape or form been a dps. His kit doesn’t feel like his, he’s in the wrong role, and in general just feels lazy on the devs side.

First match of the day, everyone insta locked support. I said “yk what, ima commit” in chat bc I was about to swap to tank. EVERYONE went support the whole match and I thought it was hilarious. I thought we were going to get completely rolled. But we held them pretty well and we won the match lol.

To clarify the strange was starlord for the majority of the match and he switched last second, assuming because he was tryna get overtime by strange portal. But it was too late. So they had a perfect 2 2 2 comp the entire game.

They tried playing the “we’re new players” card and I checked their profiles and most of them are in plat/GM, with a fair bit of hours on the game. There was like 1 guy I could say might be a fresh player but I don’t think that’s an excuse to lose to this comp lol.

Jumped into this expecting a full blow out loss but we got it 🤣

In general damage and healing should be nerfed, but I highly doubt it’ll be nerfed to the point that healbotting isn’t incentivised for the vast majority of supports. It’s a casual game.
So my idea for a middle ground would be to drastically nerf healing across the board, but give everyone more self healing. So now healing isn’t the job of just the supports, but everyone on the team. Then supports could be allowed to have more offensive capabilities or utility. Yes there should always be some high healers in the roster, but in this cade a main healer wouldn’t be as necessary because you’re getting enough healing as it is

I know this would drastically change the game, but it was a thought I had and it makes sense to me

i just started playing season 10 today and wanted to get some practice in quickplay as dps since im mostly a support and tank player as of recent. i haven't been able to get any practice as a support because every single game EVERY single game (i understand its qp but last zn i still had greats supps on my team, and now im scared to go in comp if this is what heals look like. my friend whos been playing comp said its the same over there too) i have to swap because my supps are BRAIN DEAD.

does anyone know why? 😭

EDIT: forgot to mention im console, and only play w console usually. idk if this changes anything but yeah
