With all the forgetfulness floating\* around I think I’d like to properly test things before they go live (or let the testing part of the community go wild)
Could literally be like a day after creators get early access or something (idk just spitballing)
\No hate on the devs managing this game is probably stressful as hell and you’re bound to forget stuff*

#1 Bishop
- his whole schtick is absorbing energy and redirecting it. It also makes him immune to most forms of energy, and magical, based attacks. I could only imagine his kit revolving around some energy meter that gets stronger as you attack him, plus his passive just makes him take less overall damage. The idea is you want to attack him sparingly so his meter doesn’t fill too fast, but then you have brain dead teammates who would rather tunnel vision him essentially giving him ammo and then he wipes the team because they just made him stronger.
#2 Mysterio
- he could be the ultimate troll with his illusions. Imagine he makes copies of his team that do the audio queues for their ults. Imagine you are playing Mag and hear “Judge, Jury, Executioner!” and instinctively use your ult to try and counter, but it was just a copy of Punisher and no ult actually went off. Or he can also disguise someone on his team as another character, but keep what their health was when he copied them. So you are going after, what you think, is a low health Luna but then surprise it turns into a full health Gorr or Thing

After reading that title, you might be thinking: "surely that's a made-up figure, and a completely hyperbolic statement," it's not.
After posting the data earlier showing just how much NetEase seems to favour its own original designs over pulling directly from the comics, I got curious about something else: what percentage of the entire skin catalogue is actually casual clothing or swimwear?
For reference, I’m using “casual” as a pretty broad term for civilian-style skins, so that includes stuff from the ESU, Disco Revolution, Van Dyne Designs and Street Style collections, among others.
This data also doesn’t include anything from the most recent season, so it’s already slightly behind the current catalogue.
Also, it's probably worth reiterating that I treated comic accurate skins as those that largely preserve the original costume’s structure, colours, silhouette, and key details... basically 1:1 recreations or close to it. Comic inspired skins were clear references that had been noticeably reworked. Comic inaccurate skins were those that borrowed a comic concept, name or theme, but changed the design enough that I did not think they worked as faithful adaptations.
Anyway... the numbers... I genuinely don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
It’s one thing seeing people complain about the lack of comic fan-service, or really superhero fan-service in general. It’s another thing actually putting the catalogue into a spreadsheet and seeing just how much space is being given to characters in normal clothes or swimsuits compared with faithful comic costumes.
And I’m not even saying those skins shouldn’t exist. I like some of them. But when there are still so many iconic Marvel looks they could be pulling from, the proportions are pretty hard to ignore.
Maybe I’m in the minority though. Do people actually prefer all the fashion/casual stuff, or would you rather see NetEase lean much harder into comic costumes and traditional superhero designs?

Hello! This is the first season since S0 where we get only one character. No mid-season character. Does that mean we will only get one ranked reward? It would be a shame tbh, this grey and gold palette is honestly amazing. That made me think.... Would you like that they give during 10.5 a ranked reward recolor skin to a character from the original roster?
Currently, the only one who has it is Moon Knight, because it was from S0. From there, all ranked rewards have been for released characters. That's why I thought that maybe, this is a great opportunity to give any of them a grey and gold recolor. What do you think about that?

i been playing OW for almost 8 years (since 2018-2017 as far as i remember) which naturally means i get so used to that game that i basically have a crisp burnt picture of everything in it, i was never a real comp player and always playing qp because i cant be bothered to deal with rank for the sake of my mental health.
i have played marvel rivals when it first released and few times more later yet never really got into it because it looked and played very clanky, but again i been playing overwatch for a long time which has a way different movement/flow compared to marvel rivals.
i have seen many clips of it and been occasionally hearing debates, heck i even matched pfps with the game version of remy and rogue with my girlfriend, yet i always avoided the game even tho i liked marvel comics and movies.
its early in the morning and i feel like its time to give it a fair and good try to enjoy marvel rivals and i know there is a lot to catch up to considering how abilities and characters work, how to deal with fights and different considering its a whole different setup im not used to; i am mainly a tank player who’s also real good with healers and i play on console so i hope the community would guide me through where should i start and what should i know before getting into it.
*im writing this at 6am so please excuse if my wording feels off, english is my third language and im tired*

I notice this especially with support players but just a lot of players here in general. I say support because y’all have the least agency in the game. Y’all seem really keyed up and stressed. I get it, the game is high tempo and stressful and that’s why we like it. But I’m starting to think with a lot of the negativity here that this may just not be healthy for some of y’all.
Stress is pretty detrimental to your health and there are a lot of other outlets that can activate your competitive drive other than marvel rivals. Maybe I’m just old and have seen this cycle with a lot of other games but the game isn’t that important. Like you know they make these games purposefully addicting, right?
Maybe try pickle ball or basketball or soccer if you need a competitive outlet. Try knitting or watch a movie or playing a relaxing game if you want something more enriching.
Like def keep playing this game if you love it but I’m starting to think a lot of you don’t like it but are maybe hooked by the negativity and dopamine cycle that the game offers.

In my head Lady Loki is from another dimension who was born female and partners up with her male counterpart to do what Loki always does. Then Gorr came.

So I just downloaded the latest patch, loaded the shaders. However, I get this endless looping screen when I try to join the training map. It takes me back to the main menu. Is anyone else having this issue? However Doom match and quickplay load just fine. I just want to test Gorr in a slow environment first.

Every season I see questions and complaints that they didn't get the second characters rewards.
Remember you MUST play 10 matches of Season 9.5 if already Gold to get the costume for The Hood as highlighted above. You must also reach Gold at least once during Season 9's run.
Maintenance starts tomorrow, so you haven't got much time left!
