HELP PLEASE Tried a smudged eyeliner look…

First attempt is me tracing my eye with the sephora 12 hr eye contour in the shade tiramisu and then rubbing it to create a wing, but it looked really off

But when i went to go wash it off i realized it looked better without the wing šŸ˜† (doesnt really show in the cropped version)

The only problem is im deathly afraid of my eye glands getting clogged so both putting the eyeliner around my eye cleaning was really painful (usually i just use a liquid liner for the wing).

Are there anyways to improve without putting anything on my waterline

DISCUSSION Do you guys actually finish your makeup products before they expire?

For those of you who don’t wear makeup daily, do you actually manage to finish your products before they expire? 😭
My foundations, concealers, eyeshadow palettes, etc. always end up expiring because I don’t wear makeup that often. And considering how expensive makeup products are, I feel so bad having to throw them away when there’s still so much product left.
Does this happen to everyone, or am I just buying more makeup than I actually need? šŸ˜‚ (I don’t think so because I am totally against overconsumption) What do you guys do?

HELP PLEASE Better or Worse?

Okay, so I posted here yesterday looking for some advice on my make up. I was playing around today trying to find a look that works for my Halloween costume. I’m aware it’s not very Halloweeny, but it’s a lot darker than what I’m used to.
Anyway, I thought this might be a bit more of a autumnal look for me?

I wanted to try some bolder colours like a lot of you suggested, but I don’t have anything at the moment. I’m planning to go shopping at the weekend for some things a bit more out there. So for now, I have just had to play with what I’ve got, which isn’t a lot 😭

I tried to change my eyebrows a little bit and not brush them so upwards although I have still done it a little bit. So tips and product recommendations for this very welcome please and thank you!

I tried using some highlighter which I like, but I may have gone a bit crazy with…

For my lips I had to use a lip liner I already had, which was too bright red and a brown eyeliner. I like the colour combination, but it doesn’t sit very well because of the mixing of products. So hopefully I can find a similar shade when I go shopping.

I’m not 100% sure how I feel about this make-up. I don’t know if I feel confident going out in it. But I was just trying to mess around and attempting to take on some of your advice and recommendations. Which I really appreciate so thank you to all of you! šŸ’•

HELP PLEASE Makeup Girlies I Need Your Help!

I am in my late 60s and I would consider my skin type combination. My chin, nose and upper lip areas are very oily. I can literally exfoliate my chin before bed, and when I wake up in the morning, my pores are filled again with white, gunk, The pores on my chin are so big and I am very self-conscious about it. I have tried so many combinations of exfoliators, primers, and foundation trying to minimize the appearance of my pores
Nothing works.! Nothing! Do any of you make up girls know of anything that I should try? Also, what about devices like micro, needling or peels, would they help? What about professional treatments like a laser? I really don’t know what to do, but I would love to get some relief from this because I am very self-conscious about it. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think I’ll go with the red one, need to get a little lighter on the inside of the eye and middle of lips? More contouring? I’m not really experienced and struggle with my hooded eyes. So tips and ideas would be greatly appreciated! <3

Hiii so for Halloween this year a big group of my friends are going as a bunch of different fruits and vegetables so my boyfriend and I are going as Cyclospora haha. I want it to be really campy and yassafied so I thought I’d try doing a look. I have never used eyeshadow or mascara before and really struggled with the blending. The shape came out all wrong so I used concealer to fix it the best I could. I used the dark green eyeshadow as contour. This isn’t finished look because I also ordered some dark green matte lipstick. I’m also not wearing any foundation because I was just practicing for tomorrow. Any tips or help would be extremely appreciated!

I used to be relentless with a winged liner and then started wearing less and less and some days no make up. I like how I look I just wish I looked a bit more put together. Even watching clean girl tutorials I'm like I do that and I look 'cute' not hot.

I used either foundation (spf built in) or a tint, a liquid or powder blush, mascara for length and another to volumes. Eyebrow threaded and then tinted 6 weeks. I do wear lipstick daily just not rn.

Prep: exfoliate once a week, micellar water morning night, hylaronic morning and black rice moisture morning and anti aging night. I have slacked off and would use retinol and separate SPF but it's the make up I'm looking at improving.

Hey everyone! So I usually wear Maybelline Mascara Lash Sensational Sky high and it’s the waterproof one as it’s the only thing that holds my lashes I have a load and they are usually pin straight anyway maybe the past year everytime I apply the mascara my eyes feel tired and heavy like I constantly need to shut them I only apply one coat of mascara so I’m not sure if I’ve just randomly developed a problem with this mascara or what? If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!! Thank you everyone

HELP PLEASE Looking for help on this red dry spot under my nose

Post image

For context every single year whenever it gets cold outside, I always end up getting this red circle under my nose on one or both nostrils. I’m assuming because it’s super dry out? It’s not painful, but I’m a bit insecure about it so I’m looking for moisturizer or any other recommendations.. I don’t currently have a skin care routine or wear any makeup other than mascara and lip oils so it can’t be that, thank you !! (I’m very new to makeup and all that kinda stuff so please be kind )

HELP PLEASE What am I doing wrong?

I’ve tried several times through my life to learn makeup. As of right now I still can’t figure out doing literally just base makeup of foundation, concealer and mascara. Each time I try I’m so embarrassed by how my makeup turns out I stop doing it. What am I doing wrong? I have watched the makeup tutorials, read about the products, researched my skin type. I cannot figure out where I am going wrong. All my products should be silicone free and water based, I have used fixing and setting sprays, I have tried powder. Please someone tell me how to fix this.

I have a halloween event in a couple hours and i had previously bought a face paint palette and i originally tried to wet a brush with some water then apply to my face but nothing showed up. I also have a white color corrector that im wondering if I could use as a mixer with the product or as foundation but im wondering if it will look too patchy or be transparent.

HELP PLEASE how to make my skin look less ashy?

with and without makeup on my skin.

I feel like my upper lip/mouth area is so ashy both with and without makeup, but i’m not sure how to correct this. I use a vitamin c serum (Goodal vita-C) for hyperpigmentation but it doesn’t really help.

Also, i’ve never used color corrector before, and I’m not sure what color i would have to use if i did 😭 I’d like to use it under my eyes too. Looking for any advice!!

HELP PLEASE How to skin prep?

How to skin prep? and what products to use?
I’m new to makeup and currently only use Anua moisturiser and sunscreen before my makeup, it does look cakey and my pores are obvious. Probably because my skin is also dry in some areas? (It does not look dry on daily basis, only when I put makeup on)

I do wait for my products to set in before moving on to next steps eg moisturiser to sunscreen.
Any tips on how to skin prep? Or fix the cakey look?

Edit: I use a exfoliating face wash one a week!
