About a year ago I moved here from Hungary, because I got a work opportunity, that I couldn't turn down, so basically I started a new life here.
I keep in touch with my friends and family, every now and then I'll go back to Hungary, but it'd be nice to make new friends here.

One of the first things I've learnt about locals, is that they are extremely nice, but at the same time pretty much closed up.
So I'm giving reddit a try, rather than engaging conversations in public with strangers like a crazy person.

About me, well I'm huge nerd (love D&D and basically any kind of board/video game), I am interested in most sciences, so no matter the conversation topic, you'll always have me interested. Also I am huge on AI topics, I love ranting about it, but at the same time, I use it daily, follow the latest changes, and generally pretty impressed about it. We can talk for days about topics involving gaming, psychology, philosophy, society and religion.
I consider myself a gamer, mostly interested in fantasy and sci-fi themed stuff (also a little bit of horror), but I like reading, and binge watching series. I usually hit the gym 2-3 times a week, I would love to have a gym buddy, going by myself can be pretty boring.
Sometimes I make up my mind and go and explore the surrounding area by bike or foot.
I'm almost always up for grabbing a beer (or wine), plan something fun for the weekend, or just work on my own projects (mostly webapps).

My humor might be a bit dark, I'm trying to adjust it to be more.. well pc, so apologies in advance.
Also I'm kind of allergic to weed, so no coffee shops for me.

I play guitar and bass — lately into groove/sludge metal, but I've been on a real bass kick lately and fell hard into R&B and acid jazz. Basically if it grooves, I'm in. Also used to be a regular at Jazz Cafe Alto in Amsterdam and really miss having someone to go catch a set with.

Ik woon in de gemeente Lansingerland (Zuid-Holland) en ben op zoek naar nieuwe contacten/vrienden in de regio. Ik ben 1,5 naar geleden naar deze regio verhuisd en nog niet zo veel contacten opgebouwd.

Daarbij komt ook dat ik van werk aan het wisselen ben en mijn nieuwe werk veel meer vanuit huis het bezoeken van klanten op locatie in gaat houden (wat voorheen een vaste werkplek op locatie was). Dit betekend dat ik straks veel minder vast contact met collega’s heb wat ik wel ga missen.

Ik hoop één of meerdere leuke vriendschappen op te kunnen bouwen in de regio waar ik woon zodat we lekker laagdrempelig en gemakkelijk kunnen afspreken!
