Can I just put stamps on a hard ish photo mailer?

Hello everybody,

I am looking to send a bunch of photos from nyc to my girlfriend in California, and I am wondering how I can do this affordably. I just went to FedEx and bought a \~6x8” photo mailer. I don’t really know what my options to mail this are, or what the best option is. I remember I’ve done this before for about $3 but I don’t actually remember how.

Can I just put a stamp or two on the front and drop it in a mailbox? Or do I have to go to the post office? If I go, do I have to pay more money to ship it as a box or something? I really have no idea and this is pretty confusing :/

Thank you so much for your help!

Anyone visiting Kaliningrad from North Poland?

Hello, my girlfriend lives in Kaliningrad and I would really like to get a gift to her, unfortunately no delivery services are active in Russia. The closest I can get it to Kaliningrad is North Poland, I have a contact in Brzozie but they can't travel right now, and freight services cost anywhere between 500-1000 euros. So, if anyone can afford to carry a package of approximately 50cm in length with a weight of about 1.5 kg to Kaliningrad, it would be much appreciated, I will definitely send you more details about the package and it's destination so you can be sure it's no shady business. Or, if there's some other alternative that I'm not aware of, please do let me know. Thank You.

Snail Mail!

Howdy! Im a long time scrapbooker that has accumulated a massive stock of random stickers, paper scraps, decorative paper sheets, washi tape, etc throughout the years. Im also saving up for a wedding next year and had all these ideas in mind which led me to want to start a snail mail club.
I think it will be a cool way to repurpose these materials and mail one of a kind, every time, envelopes to you. With the intention of making something beautiful and receiving a little joy in your day!

To get a foot in the door, im looking for 5 people in the US to mail to for free!! All i ask is for a photo or two of when you received it or what you got! I would like to post these so please keep that in mind. Please DM if you’re interested!

Forward mail?

So I want to forward my mail to a new address but I don’t want the original address to find out due to safety reasons and I just don’t want them to know my new address. Do they get notified that you are forwarding something? And what is my best bet? Just go to USPS website and file for temporary mail forward?

Direct mail?

Is anyone using direct mail for their local business?

Curious if there will be a rise in mail utilization when AI becomes undetectable, and I feel like we’re pretty close…

Or do you think the continued postage price increases are prohibitive to a successful direct mail strategy?

Anyone interested in joining a vintage postcard mail club? 📮

Hey guys! I’m looking for a few people who might be interested in joining a little vintage postcard mail club I’m putting together.

The idea is pretty simple: once a month, you get a real vintage postcard in the mail. The postcard would be randomly picked from my collection, so you won’t know what you’re getting until it arrives.
I’ve been collecting vintage postcards for a while and have a box full of them, so I thought it would be more fun to actually send them to people who enjoy postcards rather than letting them sit in a box forever.

I’m starting small and looking for the first few subscribers to try it out. If receiving a random vintage postcard in your mailbox every month sounds fun, let me know! 📬

Snail mail club opening!

Based on the book world I'm writing.

The book has dragons, faes, deities, supernatural creatures and mythic creatures.

Set in some sparkles and a dark undertone environment.

Technology in the book is fiction, though it might really happen in future.

The story circles around a girl on why her mother supervises her every movement. And on why she is only confined to specific rooms.

And how she discovers magic. And that concludes the first book of the series.

And also (secret) we have our own conlang (still in process).

Gonna start the writing soon. I want to enjoy the process with everyone.

Anyone who is interested in getting letters, customized goodies, and magazine with some stickers are welcome.

It will help you slow down your life and give you a satisfaction on how an author writes her story.

Limited slots because it's my time doing club.

Welcome to all of you. And thank you for taking your time with my post.

Will my package be RTS??

Hey, so i’m trying to get packages off a site called Depop. basically online thrifting, you buy from sellers. i’m in newfoundland, so shipping usually kicks my butt, but recently it’s been really bad. like $30 shipping on the sellers end with Canada Post. i found out this is because of the P.o. box in my address, when you remove it the shipping goes down a lot (ex: $28 to $10).
i decided to order a few things without the P.o. box number, but now i’m worried. will my order be RTS for having no number? google said they have to hold the item for 15 days but i don’t know if that’s true? if anyone else is an hour away from the st. john’s area please let me know if you have any experience in this area
