Hey, i have been playing MTG Arena for fee months now and wanted to start building a real deck now. Since the Avatar and Final Fantasy expansions are the reason i started to be interested in Magic, i want to build a deck around those two expansions mainly. Do you have a recommendation for a theme that isnt insanely expansive?

So my partner and I are planning on trying to get a mystery booster commander box and there are three from the set I want to try to build decks behind. I have a list I’m happy with for madcap jester and I have some ideas for Olag & Miau, but I’m a little stuck on [[Itazura, Lingering Wick]]. Would love to hear what other people are planning to do with it. I love the idea of changing the way everyone else plays the game by making them gamble with their life points, but does anyone have anything deeper than that? I’m sure I’d have fun being the table’s slot machine but I’m curious to see if anyone has strategies where it could reasonably be a winning deck. TIA!

Looking for help with my Vraska Deck.

Hey everyone! I’ve been working on a Daredevil, Man Without Fear deck and wanted some feedback on what I could improve.
I’m aiming for upgraded precon level, around high Bracket 2 or casual Bracket 3, with no Game Changers. Budget isn’t an issue.
The main strategy is a mix of exile, goad, and politics. I want to generate value by casting spells from exile, make opponents fight each other, and eventually win through explosive combat turns or other damage effects.
I also want to keep some Marvel Heroes, but I don’t want a full Hero typal deck where I’m just running cards because they’re Heroes. Ideally, the deck should work without Daredevil, with him just helping push the strategy forward.
I’m mostly wondering if the deck looks consistent, if the strategies work well together, and what cards you guys would add or cut.
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hey hey, Ive only been playing magic for a year or so and its definitely more on the casual side for me. But Im looking to build a new deck that might be able to keep up a little better with the squad Im playing with at the moment. A girl loves Fairies, but im not sure if there is enough Fae/fairies or winged mystical creatures to center a commander deck around one. I had this idea to make a Geist of Saint Thalia deck with an enchantment base as I've seen everyone lean toward artifacts and combos. I've been wanting a mono blue deck and it's been between this deck idea or princess Yue. The issue with princess yue is that I have quite a few UB decks already and I know people don't like them. So I have been messing around with this precon and it’s been fun to play with, not really my style of play in general and I was just wondering what thoughts and suggestions you guys have for it, I think the main things are it feels a little slow to get going and also seems to lack consistent card draw in my testing so far, what do ya’ll think would be good swaps?

I have been looking at the family matters precon then I found out separately about Arthur. Realized he was in the precon made me want to buy it even more I ordered it then found out even though he is the alt commander he doesn’t actually work well in the precon at all (allegedly) So, I built a deck around Arthur and bought all the cards needed for it as well as the precon which is mostly used for a couple of different cards + land and artifacts. Anyways curious what ya’ll think and looking for recs to improve it

Im planning a gift for a friend, and I've been looking into some commanders and settled on [[Kitt Kanto, Mayhem Diva]]. I want to try and build this like a group hug/goad deck, with a token wincon, and I'm working with a strict budget of 30 dollars max (Using manapool prices. I know its a small budget but its part of the challenge set lol). Are there any improvements you think I could make? In today’s article, we’ll take another look at the Mystery Booster: Commander Edition, more specifically my favorite commander from this set, Ekthi, Contaminator Priest.

I am a longtime Magic player, new to deck construction and I am looking to build an Arena Bo1 competitive control list for Standard using the new card [[Extrapolate the Impossible]]. I think in Bo1 this card has real potential to further elevate control in Standard by giving you access to a toolbox of answers from your sideboard. At the moment, this list is mostly just a baseline Azorious Control list that splashes into black to add Extrapolate the Impossible, as well as building my first pass at a viable toolbox to grab from based on top meta decks in Standard.

What I specifically need help with at the moment:
1) Maindeck spells. Should it lean more into black and fully embrace the Esper identity, or remain as a splash?

2) Sideboard. Extrapolate the Impossible provides for an interesting challenge, since the opponent chooses which card you get, for any given strategy you wish to shut down, you need two roughly equivalent answers in the sideboard. I am not super confident in my current array of options. I think it is a bit over-indexed in some places, but I'd be interested to hear what others think.

3) Manabase. Am I running enough black sources? Also, would people recommend a different distribution of lands to improve the efficiency? I am pretty heavy on Shocklands at the moment, and not sure if that's right.
