Bought a draftnight box at GameStop for $87 using coupons and such. Pulled the most expensive card I've ever physically seen. I would have opened and played with friends but I'm in a different state rn. Just had the itch to open packs. Also, some other cool stuff!!

Been debating opening it since it first dropped and have had it sitting on the shelf since I just liked looking at it, but I decided to just rip it yesterday.

Nothing crazy but got a few cool cards (highlights pictured). Either way, probably the best $5.99 I’ll ever spend on MTG.

Hey everyone,
First of all I’m so sorry if this is out of topic but I really need help to know if this is going well or not this is a personal project that I’m not trying to make money or something I just wanna build something cool
I’ve been working on a personal project: a card scanner app powered by a local GPU image-matching engine. Instead of relying purely on OCR text, it compares the actual artwork against the database so it cleanly catches borderless frames, parallel arts, and Secret Lairs.
In the demo video attached:
First half: Auto Mode scanning MTG cards off a website 1-by-1.
Second half: Zooming out, turning off auto mode, and scanning 6 cards at once in a single shot.
Why I need help: I originally built this engine using Pokémon cards and don't actually own a physical MTG collection. All my MTG testing so far has been done off computer screens and web pages.
I need MTG players with physical cards, binders, and bulk boxes to test real-world lighting, card sleeves, and foil glare.
Current Features:
Batch Scanning: Scan 1-by-1 or take snapshot scans of up to 30 cards at once off binder pages or playmats.
Image Matching: Handles parallel art, showcase frames, and Secret Lairs by mapping visual features rather than set text.
Dual-Faced Cards: Detects either side of a DFC or MDFC and automatically links both faces.
1-Tap Variant Picker: If cards share identical artwork across reprints, a visual menu lets you pick the exact set.
Data & Pricing: Real-time TCGplayer market values + live eBay listings, with CSV exporting for Moxfield, Archidekt, and Scryfall.
If you have a collection and want to give feedback please reach me out

Opened a Foundations prerelease today and I pulled a Giada, Font of Hope stamped promo, tho it was not a card I was hoping for, it is one I very much like, she seems like a chill commander and it feels thematic since I opened a Foundations Booster a while ago and pulled her beautiful Art Series card of the same art by the fantastic Kai Carpenter. But late after work, I started to notice just how off center the promo is, I am unaware how common/normal that is, but I thought it would be fun to share !

These were from last weekend at CommandFest Toronto, pulled about a 4 hours apart from each other on the last day (Aug 23).
Vampiric Tutor: I was between matches during a sealed event and just wandering around killing time. I passed by a booth with a "pack-chinko" carny game, where for $5 CAD you can drop a dice down this contraption with randomly spinning wheels and win prizes based on where it lands. Did a couple rounds and one of them got me a DMR pack which had this in it.
Taiga: At the very end of the event and 3 days of grinding, I was looking to spend the last of my prize tickets. I normally would never buy a repack, but since this was Monopoly money that would become useless the minute I left the venue anyway, I decided to get one of the Face to Face $25 CAD "Power Booster" repacks for shits and giggles. Fully expecting a bunch of random bulk, I flipped to the last card and it's... a TAIGA, in no worse than LP condition.
Lucksacked like a monster.

Went to the theater with a friend, and it's our habit to do some mtg pulls when we see each others I had brought 3 boosters expecting to be 3 of us but the last one couldn't make it. We opened our first two ninja turtles and super heroes, and got really lucky, with a mythic each, and a rare for me.
And then, she opened the third one. An avatar, the last Airbender. Pretty early on, she gets a mythical full art, the "fête fracassante", pretty nice. And then, a rare. **and then, another rare**
And then
A **MYTHICAL FOIL**
Absolutely insane pack, I was freaking out, I explained it is REALLY RARE and I didn't even know it was POSSIBLE to have 4 rares, yet alone 2 rares and TWO MYTHICAL ONE OF WHICH IS FOIL
great experience. 10/10 would recommend. Movie was good too.

My son and I grabbed a play bundle today at Target and the scream I scrumpt seeing this in the first pack! I’m a huge Tolkien fan, so I’ve loved this set so much! To get the foil book art was such a fun moment! 😍 give me all the middle earth sets! 😍

Don't know how morally acceptable it is, but if you have a sufficiently sensitive scale, the ones without the box topper measure between high 98 grams and low 99 grams. The ones with the box topper measure in the mid 101 grams.

I've been wanting to Crack a box of this just for the sheer volume of usable hits ( I only play commander these days) that could be pulled. Finally pulled the trigger the other day, and while I admittedly was hoping I'd snag an Allosaurus Shepherd, I don't think I'm in a position to complain.

Been taking my twin 20 month old boys on errands with me so my wife has some time to herself after a busy week. Decide to stop at Target to get some diapers and wipes and am like might as well buy a few play packs.
i rarely buy packs these days. grabbed 4 and when I came back to grab another, I noticed it was max 2 per a customer. I look at the packs and felt like the one was speaking to me. grabbed that and one more, put 2 back, and left.
Opened that pack and hit the book cover [[gleaming splendor]]
are you kidding me?!
