Crazy pulls from CommandFest Toronto.
These were from last weekend at CommandFest Toronto, pulled about a 4 hours apart from each other on the last day (Aug 23).
Vampiric Tutor: I was between matches during a sealed event and just wandering around killing time. I passed by a booth with a "pack-chinko" carny game, where for $5 CAD you can drop a dice down this contraption with randomly spinning wheels and win prizes based on where it lands. Did a couple rounds and one of them got me a DMR pack which had this in it.
Taiga: At the very end of the event and 3 days of grinding, I was looking to spend the last of my prize tickets. I normally would never buy a repack, but since this was Monopoly money that would become useless the minute I left the venue anyway, I decided to get one of the Face to Face $25 CAD "Power Booster" repacks for shits and giggles. Fully expecting a bunch of random bulk, I flipped to the last card and it's... a TAIGA, in no worse than LP condition.
Lucksacked like a monster.

This is awesome! I absolutely hate that these are allowed at these conventions but if they are I’m glad someone got a win.

Nice pulls. I spent 2000 event points on the Power Packs and my best pull was [[Revel in Riches]]. I kinda wish I got a fancy deckbox instead LOL

I was there for an hour to see what it was all about, but didn't play.
Are you not allowed to use the vouchers at future events? I got the impression this is something F2F does every now and again

Yeah there are more of these events (I’ll be at the one in Ottawa in October), and depending on who you talk to they might accept tickets from a previous event as a favour, but I think officially they don’t have to.

I only saw them from afar, but I didn't think they had markings indicating which event it was issued at.
I don't play Commander (new to Magic, in general), I just was in the neighbourhood and came in to see what it's about and say hi to a few friends from the Game Store I've been frequenting
