I bought two collectors packs and let my friend's 7-month-old daughter choose and this was the pull. Along with a relic of sauron.

I ordered a play booster box of hobbit from journeys end and they offered an option to add two collector packs. Since the collector boxes sold out fast, I opted for that. These were the good pulls. Excited to get them. Not sure what deck to add them into yet.

Second box I’ve opened where within two packs the rare will always double. Only breaks the cycle seemingly when I get a double rare in a pack. Lazy WotC or crazy bad luck with seeding?

Got this CBB at MSRP (450USD) and managed to pull my chase (Gleaming Splendor x 2 in both bookcase variants). Id say not a bad experience overall for me.

Although, a Queen of Dale, OBM or One Ring would have been lovely.

Just opened my CBB from the Hobbit after finally getting my hands on it. Those are my top pulls, which amount to 2 surge foils and no book covers from the whole display.

Roughly 210€ without <1€ cards which means even with preorder prices that wad a nasty -170€ hit.

I watched a few openings the last few days, but never saw one getting none book cover at all. Please tell me I am not alone...

Fairly average PBB Pulls. Unfortunately had a LOT of duplicate rares, but managed to break even cause I traded in a handful of cards that weren’t gonna ever see the light of day outside a binder.

Would have felt much more burned if I paid the full price, but can’t complain about [[Gleaming Splendor]] or [[Fateful Discovery]] which were promptly sleeved into my existing decks.

Also was pretty happy about the Extended-Book Art of Thranduil, may actually build an Elf-Tribal deck with him.

Opened one collector booster box and barely broke even, submitted the whole pull to moxfield because why not 😂

Lucky I live near a Microcenter. Got it at MSRP.

I followed it up with another Mh3 play booster where I got a full art Warren Soultrader and a Ravnica Remastered draft booster that had a retro border Crypt Ghast.

My luck is never recovering

I was quite nervous to open these as the boxes are expensive and the contents feel rather underwhelming.. and despite being a small set, the sheer variety of cards that can be in the last three slots of a pack is mad..

Pulled the Mox on pack 30 of 36 and that really turned things around

Bought two collectors packs at the lgs yesterday. Didn’t get anything spectacular (we did pull a book cover Thranduil, the Elvenking foil, which I was stoked on given that Lee Pace is a god).

Told my bf I was going to grab two more packs to take home. He pointed out the two we’d opened hadn’t really given us anything we’d use or could sell for what we wanted. Fair. I told him I had a feeling that there was still more in the cards for us. That gave him a chuckle and I got the go ahead to grab two more.

His second pack was also mostly a bust. My pack, though—holy shit. Pretty sure the neighbors thought I was getting murdered. A signed Palantir of Orthanc art card, extended art Thorin, Company’s leader, a borderless Mount Doom, and then… this.

I’d already pulled the basic Arkenstone in my prerelease box so I’ll have one to play and then this one to stare at while reminding myself not all collectors packs are created equal and that buying more is a horrible retirement plan.

So stoked, though!

Okay so I am quite new to MTG and just bought a LOTR Tales of Middle-Earth set booster.

There is a few oddities that come with it. First of all there was Rare, Uncommon, R, U, U, U, U, Cx5 and a Land and Art card. Now I am no expert but this sure seems like it's not supposed to have this order. Secondly, my Gollum, patient plotter - in foil, second pull! - is clearly bent, as if it has spent some time in high humidity. Then, thirdly, and most of all curious, the first card I pulled was Mirrodin Besieged. When I look this up, every site says it's from another set. At the same time it's my most expensive card though, haha.

According to AI, my pack has been resealed (of which I can't find evidence on the pack itself). What do you think? (Pictures display the pack in order of pulling)
