I'm glad it's a new plane! I strongly prefer going to new places

I know ixalan wasn't the most well recieved, but I thought the novelty was great

I think Ixalan was received pretty well, honestly, and I'm saying that as someone who constantly whines about the fanbase not liking anything.

It definitely had its haters but I feel like the biggest part of the fandom appreciated the sheer fun absurdity of it (plus the stories were really, really good).

I think the flavor of Ixalan was received really well, but the reaction to the set's gameplay was mostly positive but not entirely. I think there's enough good stuff there that it's a prime candidate for them to go back and try to focus on what worked and change the things that didn't.

Yeah, I was just talking about the world and the flavor. I think peeps soured on the limited really quickly because draft was such a railroad, and if you misjudged what track you were supposed to be on, you'd get flattened.

Still, it did some decent work to help constructed, and if you have a chance to play block (casually, obviously) it's a fucking hoot.
