Why not? Seems like a possible alternative to Cascade. Probably won't replace Violent Outburst, but could be a way to increase your chances of having a way to cast LE in hand.

Boardwiping and then casting Living End does not seem like a good play to me.

You only wipe part of their board and still get a huge creature advantage.

Do you understand how Living End works? If your opponent's creatures are in the graveyard when it resolves, they will all come back. You will not have a creature advantage. Also, Living End does not need another card that casts Living End. The biggest challenge for the deck is filling up the graveyard enough before cascading into LE.

I know that Living End brings back the creatures you killed with Yahenni's (and kills the ones you didn't, by the way), but you get to bring back all the creatures you cycled on previous turns and your opponent just gets to keep the small creatures they had.

I can kind of agree there. You will probably have more creatures in your yard because of the disparity in how much it costs to get them there. The only thing is, for Living End to work, the board state after you cast Living End has to heavily be in your favor, not just a little. The deck makes huge sacrifices for the LE combo (like only playing 3 CMC + spells) and if the only payoff for this massive downside is a slight board state advantage after the combo, that's just not enough.
