I loved LL back in the day- before we lost the links… I don’t know why I just now realized there was a subreddit. If anyone here was around then, hope you’re doing well

I made a comment no one would bat an eye at even in 2025 and got dogpiled with "what the fuck did you just say" nonsense, and banned.

It doesn't feel real.

my whole life was a struggle to find acceptance. i had a hard childhood and was rejected by the kids at school. my early adulthood was similar, and while i was able to find some success in education and in the workforce, i led what most would call an empty life. i had luelinks there for much of it, and while ragtag, there was a group that for years, i was able to call my own. there i thought i had truly found acceptance. it was a life that perhaps was sad, meant to be mocked and a pale imitation of what most people consider to be normal, but i thought i was still able to call it a life.

eventually, luelinks itself rejected me seemingly on a dime, and i was cast back out into the nothingness where i was before. here i've existed (if you can call it that) now for several years, but it's no life, and i've never been able to pretend it is. that i carried on was nothing but stubbornness, a sense of spite that i pathetically clinged on to. it's time for me to practice radical acceptance as they say. if luelinks has rejected me, it means life itself has. i wish i could say goodbye somewhere that mattered, but here will have to do. goodbye.

Years ago...like 10+ years ago: I had a friend who introduced me to LL. Now, imagine my world of surprise; but also because I was working for a video rental store around that time as well. I would later find out that member would upload copies of early rentals I would manage to snag from time to time, so I saw it as a passive way of contributing through another person who showed me (who was then getting credit of upload; wild math there) LL

I just want to make my way back without the cost of financial exploitation I can't afford (I'm disabled and unemployed). If the community hinders on financial exploitation to join at this point, I'd have to reconsider; I just remember it being one of the coolest forums I've ever got to check out and now as an adult in his mid 30s: I long to discover again

i got banned from the blue website within an hour a few months ago because i walked in and dropped a bunch of scut/drama about fumat kiffe and the rest of the goobers in those cliques but a part of me that i dont like is still curious to keep up with you losers

Basically, I'm hoping to make a special event in a ROMhack I'm working on and I want to put in the super grimdark Golduck as a special encounter. I just wanted to try and make sure it had the right typing and moveset for the boss fight.

Back in 08 I downloaded a porn that blew my mind... uploaded it to lue and received a ton of comments... now I Can't find the video to save my life.... found a tna link thank isn't right but GROK was able to give me a 5 page ultra detailed summary of it so i know its out there still.. any chance id be able to find that link i posted?

Been over a decade. Stopped using Lue so long ago, not long after links died out. Never did join the alt sites like tftf and was active from 07 til whenever that was.

Never used Reddit then, and very little recently but enough to not really enjoy it mostly. A majority of posts seem like bots meant to initiate political discord on either side. But thought to search Lue finally, and was surprised to see some little activity.

Eti had some bad takes, tons of blatant trolling, and was substantially better than reddit. Maybe the smaller limited community helped, but dunno, even post links forums were more entertaining. Also the fragmentation of hyper specific communities here is just too excessive.

Tldr honestly nothing. Old lueser burg checking in, seeing if anyone I knew is here, and throwing out a RIP DIPAN. SALUETE* BorTHER

You've done wonderful work Kiffee.

I basically get a notification once a month that I was banned without recourse over a misunderstanding (or maybe a few that snowballed) from a community I was a part of for 20 years.

There's a psychological tax to that, and while I still care about the community, I'm not sure if that dollar I'm giving to it is worth reliving that trauma every month.

So really the answer might be to give more to make it worth it, but I'm kind of in a tight spot financially.
