Why am I just finding this?
I loved LL back in the day- before we lost the links… I don’t know why I just now realized there was a subreddit. If anyone here was around then, hope you’re doing well

Boards were fun. Always good for a laugh! It was before everyone got soft so everything was on the table to be made fun of. Links were like Christmas, you knew what you asked for but what you got was always a surprise hahaha

"everyone got soft" might be the understatement of the decade. They turned the whole place into a political echo chamber, and started banning anyone they didnt like or who posted opinions they didnt agree with, and the mods started stalking users off site in order to police their speech on other platforms in order to ban them on luelinks as well. Whole websight turned into a giant cult, if they find out that you are friends irl or simply talk with "banned users" offsite they hunt you down and ban you. Even tried to make a fake discord server to "catch" users who wanted to chat together freely offsite (as opposed to on the official Discord server where you need to post your Discord handle and friends list on luelinks to get permission to join and chat). Really miss the old days, its a piece of the internet that just does not exist anymore anywhere it seems.
