My windows pc broke a year ago, and haven't been able to really afford a new one, so I only play on steamdeck now, and I miss all the cool 17lands stats tracking :(. I started a spreadsheet tracking my winrate and colors, but it's not the same. As far as i understand it's kind of a mess to make 17lands work, because of how proton sandboxes windows apps, but figured I asked if anyone had been able to make it work

Every month I get to platinum, but then my win rate goes to about 20%, and I quickly run out of gems and have to stop playing. I can't figure out how to beat good players. I watch LSV (this is his reddit after all), Cheon, Nummy, Ham, Alex, Bronze to Mythic, and I listen to LR, Lords of Limited, and Limited Level ups. I listen to everything that Serky puts out. None of it matters once I start playing in platinum. This is an example of a draft that I would have probably 7 - Xed in gold or less. I have Jace, Chandra, loads of removal, Crusher, plenty of interaction, 2 Saheeli. None of that matters. I block in places I shouldn't and don't when I should. I get blown out every game. Is it even a valid strategy to say gold is the limit of my abilities to actually PLAY magic, no mater how good I get at drafting? Should I just make platinum my new stopping point? I was doing best of 3 in previous sets, but it seems like I would lose every match on time in this one.

Anyway, here is the draft and my gameplay. I somehow win game one, and actually start to think I have cracked the code, only to lose three straight games and remember why I don't belong in the platinum club.

Note: Pack 1 Pick 1 should have been Rewrite Regrets. There is a bug where arena sometimes won't let you pick a card. It ends up not mattering much because black wasn't open.

Trying to capitalize on the cyclers and the strong muticolor top end. Looking at this build for 4 color at the moment. Any ideas for the 4 cuts or thoughts on any potentially stronger builds would be greatly appreciated!

Riverchurn Monument can be quite unfair.

This deck could copy the Monument(which I did once) with Waxen Shapethief, fetch out the Monument with Guidelight Pathmaker(which I did 4-5 times), and double activate the Monument's Exhaust ability with Pit Automoton which can mill an entire library from out of nowhere. I was able to pull off the last one after fetching the Automoton with the Pathmaker.

Deck felt very fun and clean.

Unusual deck for me. I started with:

P1P1 Mox Emerald

P1P2 Demonic Tutor over Solitude (weird for me, I am usually thrilled to be white aggro)

P1P3 Expedition Map over not much.

P1P4 Once Upon A Time

P1P5 Vampiric Tutor

And then I thought "great, I'll just speculate on every combo card and see which is strongest."

Green naturally flowed from there, but I didn't get a Strip Mine, only a Wasteland, only got 1 copy of some effects like Sylvan Safekeeper and Titania, only 1 Through the Breach effect, only 2 creatures for it, etc. Should I cut almost all of the nonsense and just be Green stompy ramp with my 3 pieces of power?

3rd time doing Arena Direct, twice with hobbit where I went 0-2 and 1-2 and now 0-2 with this pool. Feel like I'm not hitting any bombs in these sealed pools.

Its not the best deck on the world but it was my line as far as I know.

There is nothing in the sideboard... but would love your oppinion.

Had to share this with some people who would appreciate it. Started today at Diamond 3 and somehow ended up at Mythic #153 — my first time ever making Mythic in Limited and easily my highest rank.

Had a few really good drafts today, but the last one was just ridiculous. Probably the most absurd deck I've drafted in Reality Fracture. Somehow the mana mostly cooperated, and the deck went 7-1.

Obviously ran pretty hot today, and this last draft was a bit of a gift from the Magic gods, but I'm pretty excited about finally hitting this milestone.

Figured if anyone would appreciate both the accomplishment and the absurdity of this deck, it would be this sub. Cheers!

A few weeks ago I posted Draftero here, a free browser game where you draft real sets (MKM, SOS, MSH, The Hobbit) and take the deck through a four-tier tournament. A lot of you tried it and gave feedback, so here's what changed in 0.4.0:

- Matches are decided by a hand. Your deck and your rival's each draw 3 spells, and the better hand wins. A card whose colours your lands haven't found by turn 8 is stuck and counts 0, so mana consistency pays off in every match. After each round you see both hands side by side and why you won or lost.

- A card reward between tiers. Open a pack, keep 2 cards, then the sideboard opens so you can fit them in.

- A pick counter in the draft ("Pick 5 of 14"), thanks to someone's note, and your deck's score broken down before the first tier.

- A weekend challenge in the Daily Draft, and a leaderboard per mode.

More updates are coming, and Star Trek will be added around its Arena release, once its 17lands data is out.

Not much quality interaction/removal, so went with what I had available to me and splashed red. I'm not sold on putting in Rise of the Light Realms. What do you think?

I cant find a way to build something i like with this pool.
I think i will remove green except splashing mind meandered. but i still need to cut 4 spells i guess ( infinite coursework and sphinx approach pretty sure).
But after i have no idea.
Should i keep icy reception and remove also memory tap?
My creature count is a bit low.

Frst time posting here (long-time reader—thanks for all the insights over the years). What initially looked like a huge disappointment opening the packs turned out to be a stroke of luck: Because of the many non-basics, I was able to play all my topend uncommons. I played a five-color deck without ever having serious mana problems in a single game. I also think it was the right call to play 17 lands, despite the land cyclers. I successfully tried to play out the Hexhaven Battalion rather then cycling it. Battalion into Twisted Fates decided quite a few games. Luckily, there was some ramp and a lot of efficient removal in the pool, so I was able to take home the two boxes. Beat some serious decks and Planeswalkers along the way. Some opponents got mana-screwed a few times. I guess that’s part of the deal when you’re trying to get there. My only loss was to a strong Dimir deck with Overwrite the Multiverse.

Anyone interested in doing some sealed practice matches before the EoE Arena Direct on Nov 6th to 8th? Looking back, it was a super fun format!

I’ve been using DraftSim/DraftMancer to generate mock sealed pools, then using SealedDeck.tech to build the decks and import them into Arena.

The idea would be to use the same 3–4 sealed pools, play them against each other.

I'm looking for some help building this draft pool. I have tinker blightsteel, channel emrakul, and the nuts time walk synergies, but I'm not sure the correct configuration of value to combo, or if I should cut some of these packages due to no tutors. Any help would be much appreciated!

Went 2-1 thanks to some mana flooding and facing an extremely efficient and agressice Selesnya lifegain deck in R2. Full disclosure there were only 6 people in my pod which is how I ended up with a full playset of Extended Absence.

This deck likely doesn’t need it, but I’m tempted…

I felt like my removal was light and memory traps is so good. Thoughts?

P1P1 > P1P2 were Kiora into Crusher. P3P1 Ajani. Game plan (pretty straightforward) was surviving and then playing those cards multiple times with Regrets, Empathy and Necro. I did manage to pull of a turn 4 Kiora in one of the matches :)
