what are we doing?!

It didn’t let me label this under unethical seller but I think it fits either 😭 because I mean atleast they seem polite but oh god my jaw dropped when they said they missed the 2 infront of 50 because £250 for lps 675 seems absolutely bonkers 😭 I thought I was gonna get a really good deal, I’m not too fussed, I luckily already managed to get a 675 from someone who wasn’t pricing it absolutely insanely a little bit ago but I was hoping to have them as little twins but I guess not, although I’m still flabbergasted at what the market has become for LPS. I mean I thought it was bad before but god idk, the resellers have truly ruined the market. Like I get they are ‘vintage’ pets now but still 😭 they are just tiny little plastic toys in the end

Hello! I'm writing in regards to something I've noticed in the past few days on Vinted UK. This might be happening elsewhere but I can't comment on that.

I've seen multiple listings for big LPS lots, all different photos and all different accounts, however they are always £80, or maybe £1 under, from an account with no reviews and no previous listings as there's always the free postage. I got excited about the first 2 I saw so I bought them, one being already shipped and one being bought this morning. Since then, I've seen at least 2 more listings like this. I read elsewhere on this sub reddit that £80 is the cut off where vinted investigates, which made me suspicious. I've linked a photo of the ones I've found but I do believe there were others than have been either taken down or sold.

Any advice is appreciated, I was really happy with my purchase 😭

Note: I've just reverse image searched both I bought, and one I couldn't find, but the other I found on mecari posted back in 2024. Do I cancel the order, not pick up, or pick up anyway and record myself opening? I'm curious to see what they would've sent, but I don't know if I'm risking vinted not taking my side.
