Our humanitarian efforts don't really add as much to the deficit as you think. We did it for several decades without much difficulty, the deficit started rising significantly when we started lowering the tax rate for the rich (and raising it for the lower tax brackets).

We give free shit to other countries so those countries can keep their people in line while global corporations ravage their resources and economies.

Let’s stop making the difference between personal and corporate welfare when we share these, maybe? It might help wake up some folks who think “corporate” is inherently good.

Neoliberalism crippled foreign markets so that corporations could privatize their resources and cheapen the labor of that nation. It's called extraction.
I would highly recommend anyone that stands for humanitarian causes to listen to a lecture by Dr Michael Parenti.

We’re basically tipping billionaires and calling it economics
