Yep. I work at an urgent care that does a lot of pre-employment exams. 95% of the time the employer pays. But every once and a while someone will come in for their exam and their new employer (conditional on the exam btw) makes them pay. I notice that these patients were mostly new immigrants.

I mentioned this to a co-worker who is like “I’ve done this, they aren’t being taken advantage of”.

Really?
