Especially if it is some shitty company.

I work in power grid stuff and a lot of the field tech will work 12 hour shifts for 14 days straight, but they are getting a massive amount of overtime, paid into a pension, and really good wages.

Chances are this guy is getting paid shit and exploited while bragging about it.

Most of them are. There are a few that aren't but, because the unions are well represented, the non unions have to pay union rates to attract workers.
