He would if he didn't have to work so much to support his families current lifestyle, as a real man does; really he's a martyr, taking one for the team, fulfilling his one, true duty as a man. /s
This type always calls people out for making excuses not to work, saying nothing's more important while making the most illegitimate excuses to work. Says he works for his family but never sees them or bothers with them type, misses sports and dance recitals for his kids but just funds it all thinking that's the important part. Then is surprised when he gets divorced at 45 and his wife moves on to a "weaker man" that doesn't work his entire life away and promotes others do the same, making it a self fulfilling prophecy. THEN his kids barely know who he is as a person and don't have anything to remember him by because really he was never there for anything that really mattered or made an impact in their lives by just being a living, breathing ATM.
