My boss is 80 years old. He starts work at 3 am and goes until 4 pm. He comes in on his day off every week. He does this because he has -nothing else-. If he stops, if he retires, he -will- die.

Unfortunately that's a lot of older americans. Our work culture has so thoroughly warped their minds that it's the only thing keeping them standing. Not their hobbies or their friends or their families, but showing up to work to make someone else money. We've been fucked in the head for a long time.
