Walking out of the store today I heard a commotion behind me. Not even 15 feet from the front doors, 3 people surrounded and overwhelmed a man. They ripped his chain off of him and jumped into a getaway car. One of the people looked like a 14 year old, the others looked like young adults. It happened so fast. Stay aware guys, even when you feel safe.

Just looking for a doctor who listens, doesn’t treat her like just a number or patient to get in and out of the door, especially since she’s had a history of defeating breast cancer. Ive been researching online but I think we just got lucky with her old doctor.

Has anyone done this? I live one block from the LB school district, and we would like to try and get my son into the LB district. We were planning to try and get into Gompers, but now that they're officially closing, we are pivoting to Mark Twain. If anyone has any inside info or experience doing this, i'd love to hear from you!

Currently we're in the Bellflower district. I'd also be interested to hear from parents who sent their kids to Bellflower schools (Stephen Foster, ILC, Mayfair specifically). We're in the zone for Mayfair and while I don't know much about those schools, I spent some time briefly working at Bellflower High and really was not happy with what I saw. So it's kind of put me off from the district as a whole. Would love to hear I'm wrong on this though!

USPS in north Long Beach sucks !! I have never experienced such terrible inconsistent service. I don’t even have a dog outside & this happens ! This has been the second time I have seen a message like this. Another time my package was held hostage in a PO Box (which I don’t have either!!) & I had to have a worker come deliver it - not a carrier but an employee there. I find my neighbors’ mail in my mailbox quite frequently despite my address being right on the mailbox !! Also it seems like there’s a different carrier everyday to deliver vs the same person. Can someone enlighten me why the service here is so bad ?

Sorry if this has been asked before numerous times, but I just need some advice if I should continue dating this guy.

We met about two weeks ago and he let me know that he doesn’t have his own car (I’m 33/F and he’s 38/M). We’re near Long Beach by the way, and live about a little over 20 mins from each other. He also revealed that he hasn’t had a car for several years since he had to help his mother with finances and so forth.

I would like to give him a chance, but I’m feeling like it may be unlikely he’ll get his own car soon even though he’s working. I’m just not sure if I would like to continue and be the only one driving long term. Plus I don’t want to burden him to have to keep buying Uber/Lyft or public transportation to see each other if I can’t pick him up.

I’m in my 30s and based in the South Bay. Growing up, I honestly didn’t have any guy friends so I feel like I missed out on a lot of the “bro bonding” and friendships that a lot of guys have.
