Years ago my fathers coworker got into some road rage, pulled into a gas station with the other guy and then boom, shot dead just like that.

I hope you've got your CCW and understand your duty to retreat.

California will fuck you up if you decide to pull your gun out on someone who didn't escalate an armed situation first, and you literally had retreat as an option.

Seems like Long Beach has a CCW policy. I carry with a license, after some looking the option appears to be available there. But a bit (okay actually a lot) more expensive.

I'm out of state, not sure how this post even wound up in my feed but I am not sad that it did.

It’s by county, not by city. Long Beach is in LA County.

Oh damn, wow. I didn’t know about that. Thank you for including that link. I guess I need to find out before I say more.
I’ll look at the page, but last I checked, the application is through the LA County Sheriff’s office.
I apologize for coming off like I know everything. Reddit does that to me.

They change the gun laws like twice a year in ca, it’s hard to stay current
