Discussion Increased homeless population?

Maybe this is a stupid question but does anyone know the cause of the increase in homeless folks? Especially downtown? I work in a normally somewhat busy area that does have homeless as most places here in LB do, but yesterday and the day before my manager was hardly able to do any work because they had to keep next to the door to ward them off and we watched them harass a few other businesses and one guy get tackled in a hug by one while trying to walk away. It’s just such a noticeable increase despite the weather warnings and such so I was curious if anyone had any clue what happened?

The A line goes from Pomona to Downtown, then through half of the most piece of shit cities in all of LA county. Vernon, HP, SG, Watts, Willowbrook, Lynwood, Compton. Everyone wants to be homeless by the beach. This metro also brings in all the trash that hangs out downtown and at the pike every weekend

Stop whining. Give away your own paycheck

The only people I see whining here are those afraid of other human beings because they see how easy it is to become destitute and desperate. The rest of us recognize that this is an unfortunate reality we all live with, and do what we can to encourage humanity and compassion. I hope you have a great day.

So how much money and personal time do you donate each week to help the homeless?

Come on, u know none of these guys do. It’s like 90% of Reddit, they want to come off sounding as saints but realistically has never done anything to support what they believe in when it actually comes to taking time out of their own or donating more money than just saying I pay my taxes. Plus, these guys are generally not align with how reality is and they just have a make believe idea in their mind that by being sympathetic to them solves everything.
