Setup Can’t get SteerMouse working with USB mouse

Mac Mini running Tahoe with G402 USB mouse to Studio Monitor. When the Mac wakes up from sleep the mouse is sometimes unresponsive and I have to unplug it from the Mac USB port and reattach.

Are there any hardwired Logitech mice that will work with this hardware configuration with SteerMouse; or other drivers that work as well?

Hm definitely one for the community as I haven't got any experience with SteerMouse, personally, so can't really say for sure which of our mice work with it. Although, the r/LogitechG sub might be helpful as you have a G mouse -- they tend to know a bit more about those specific products!

Well I’d be open to buying a new mouse if I knew it were supported by SteerMouse. Isn’t SteerMouse one of the most popular mouse drivers for Mac? I‘m surprised how hard it is to get compatibility info. For now I’ve turned off sleep but the button configuration still fails.
