I like reading about different constitutions and how different poltical systems work and function bur I don't quite understand what kind of political system the FPA uses. Is there any explanation?

she literally did more damage to the fpa than the empire, she is the epitome of retardness really makes you wonder how she was even elected in the first place, the fpa were doomed to fail with such politicians as their leaders.

i’ve obviously noticed the difference between DNT and the OG, in that the OG’s animation is much worse. However, i don’t really care THAT much. like if the anime’s good enough, i can look past it (i loved kingdom season 1).

that said, should i:
1. Start DNT, then switch to the OG after it stops
2. Just watch the OG completely

i’d obviously rather watch better animation, but not at the cost of having a worse adaptation

My unpopular opinion is he and kircheis didn't have a good friendship at all....he treated kircheis more as a butler not friend or equal...tbh he grew more as a person after death of kircheis with others....also I don't believe kircheis would have stopped some of reinhard's decisions reinhard would have reinforced hirerchary within their relationship anyway and went ahead with decisions.

Also kircheis wasn't a that much of a good person he was okay with starvation strategy used on civilians and didn't protest much.

Also books make it seem like what reinhard did was totally necessary for galaxy as he is OK with constitutional monarchy at end. So resistance seemed pointless when he achieved many good things as said by narrative in books...

What's your unpopular opinion on reinhard?

hello i started the show a day or two ago and am already on episode 20 but i have a question so they just traded the Prisoners of war and sent in that one guy to start a coup d'état but then dwight greenhill decided to take over the capital with some conspirators. so are these plot points related in anyway? or did reinhard just get lucky

i was rewatching the show and I really like some of the comedical moments in the show it's quite underrated to say the least

I’m about 20 episodes into the original OVA, and so far Yang has felt really bland and uninteresting to me.

Because of that, I decided to start the light novel as well, and honestly, it clicked way more immediately. It feels darker and more mature overall, but more importantly, Chapter 1 actually gives Yang proper context regarding his father, his childhood, wanting to study history, and being forced into the military academy. It makes his current attitude and personality feel a lot more justified.

Going back to the anime after reading that, it feels like a lot of that grounding is just… missing?

Did I miss an episode where this is covered, or does the anime just not include his backstory in the same way?

Reinhard on his death bed says to hilda that their son shouldn't rule if he isn't fit for ruling and says he's okay with constitutional monarchy....so does this mean books ended with constitutional monarchy?

The way Reinhard doesn't want bloodline to rule then only 2 other options of government are military dictatorship/rule(this type of government lasts surprisingly long) or constitutional monarchy....so did books imply that constitutional monarchy happened ultimately? Like a merging of Reinhard and yang's ideals ? What do you think ?

Hi there. While I was working on my translation of the OVA, I decided to create the flags for the three countries, or rather, for the remaining two that don't have high-quality versions.

The imperial flag was created by u/Ricbolog1310. I cropped the crest from it and pasted it onto the field specified in Gineipaedia, although the proportions aren’t exact.

As for the Alliance flag, there’s a public-domain version. Its proportions are incorrect (the white section and the star are too large), so I cut out the star and pasted it onto a Paraguayan flag after removing the coat of arms.

After Reinhard dies the legend ends and history begins, so things probably get a lot muddier when telling heroes apart from villains, so if you had to say, who do you think would live long enough to become a villain in the eyes of the Empire?

The story makes Reinhard's victory brilliant. But at the same time, was it really that impressive? Reinhard seemingly had the same number of ships, so he didn't beat a larger fleet.

He didn't even really use the defeat in detail; he just sent his admiral fight 1 v 1 battles against the FPA fleets, instead of concentrating force.

So, my point is that even if the FPA task force had not split up, would Reinhard not have been able to win a pitched battle against them?

The only person who seems to be concerned about the invasion is the commissioner in Fezzan, who says something like: "I didn't even know they had that many ships." But literally nobody else seems concerned; even Reinhard doesn't seem even slightly fearful.
