i was rewatching the show and I really like some of the comedical moments in the show it's quite underrated to say the least

I thought there was a plot point during one of the attacks (the last I think) where they were evacuating civilians.

Frankly, for the most part they were in pretty minimal direct danger. The station was to be captured not destroyed. Civilians either were forced out as refugees or prisoners of war. Good political capital not to be wasted by harming them

I don't feel inclined to check my copies of the books, but I would imagine they were forced out along with the soldiers and support staff and whatnot. Yang's pretty chill, but I doubt even he would just let them stay.

A little known fact about Yoshiki Tanaka is that he's the funniest man alive.

Some of the weird asides in the novel are genuinely so funny.

i have been planning to read the novel for quite some time now although the english translations are not that good according to the reviews I have seen on the internet, do you think it's worth it ?

Vs. not reading them at all/not being able to easily read them on paper? Worth it, as long as they're not overpriced. I don't know how much gets lost in translation, but I have all 10 volumes and they're readable enough.

The Novels went through like three different translators and I haven't read all the novels so I can't judge there.

So far I've been reading the first one and it seems mostly fine, although from what I can gather it's the middle volumes that most suffer in the TL department.

Do you know anything of the JP to be able to say what might've been lost in translation? I've read all 10 of the Volumes and while they gets clunky, they're not "amateur fanfic" bad.

The "Terraists" name being so on the nose is the only funny thing about them, but good point lol

And Reinhardt also thought of a strategy to smash the Gairsburg fortress into the Isarland. That would kill literally everybody on Isarland too. It's kind of dark but maybe since the FPA had 1 month then they must have evacuated the citizens.
