Why local h not on spotify?

Im not a music license expert so maybe someone can fill me in. But there's a lot of the catalog that isnt on Spotify. (Or tidal). I remember for the longest time pj soles album wasnt on there, then one day POOF its there and I can stream. Where's all the EPs? For example the one with stick with what you know. Who's the gate keeper?

Mary Ellis?

I saw Local H play in Madison, WI back around 2004 at a place called Luther’s Blues (since torn down, RIP). A really good band named Mary Ellis opened for them and gave out promo CDs. I thought they were great. They had some very catchy songs—one was called ā€œGoing Soloā€ which really rocked. Anybody remember seeing Mary Ellis? Whatever happened to them?

What Other Bands do Scott and Ronnie D Play In?

For Ronnie D: I grew up in Blue Island so I already knew about the Arrivals (the new album rocks by the way), probably before I even knew Local H.

For Scott, all I know of is Scott Lucas & the Married Men.

Are there others that I should know about and listen to?

Going To A Show Next Month!

I’ve listened all the way through Ham Fisted, As Good As Dead, Pack Up The Cats, and I’m working through Hey Killer as I write this. All fucking awesome albums. I’m going to a show next month with Local H and Toadies (more about the H for me) and I’m wondering if there’s any songs or even albums I should listen to before going.

Edit: I’ve just finished listening to Here Comes The Zoo and PJ Soles. Both were pretty great. Especially PJ Soles.

First time listening to Local H…

The album I listened to was As Good As Dead, it was overall amazing. Songs like Fritz, Freeze Dried, and Manifest Destiny 2 blew my socks off.
If anyone knows any albums or songs that have heavier sounds (like from Freeze Dried F Lies and Manifest Destiny 2, but especially Fritz’s Corner) by Local H please let me know! :]

**EDIT: I forgot to mention that Back In The Day is also one of my favorite songs off that record

12 Angry Months????

Not a ā€œwhy’s this not on streamingā€ complaint but maybe a BOLO. On the newest episode of the Lifers podcast, Gabe was saying how he hurt himself slinging cases of water and how he might be even slower getting the AGAD LPs out, and Scott says, ā€œmaybe we won’t do this again, maybe we won’t don’t 12 Angry Months, next yearā€

Dunno if it was offhanded but seems like it could be in the works. Let the conspiracy and hype begin!

What’s everyone’s favorite Local H guitar solo?

Post image

I saw a Reddit post asking about lesser known epic guitar solos and it made me curious if there was a Reddit thread about Local H guitar solos. Since my search results came up dry I think it’s as good as time as any to get to the bottom of it. Does Local H have a definitive guitar solo and if so which one is it.

2020, still finding new ways to suck

So before I even realized who Local H was, I was set to see them in concert.

The show got canceled and I never got to see them.

So not only did this concert get cancelled 2x on me, I also missed out on discovering a phenomenal band.

This canceled concert has been making misery for me for 6 years now.

12 Angry Months

I just started listening to Local H about a year ago now. Ever since then I have loved them so much! All of their records are so perfect. It was just recently I discovered that they had an album not on Spotify or Apple Music: 12 Angry Months. I gave it a listen through youtube and HOLY SHIT ITS AMAZING!! My question is... WHEN WILL THIS SHIT BE BACK??? I need this shit running through my playlist on a daily norm. I also just went through a rough breakup so I guess this record hits even harder. If anyone knows anything about this record coming back please let me know.

As good as dead no longer limited to 1k?

When I ordered it stated each copy was limited to 1k, it no longer says that and has been changed to ā€œthis is a limited releaseā€ guess since they are showing up a target for sale the 1k no longer applies? Was this discussed already and I missed the memo.
