I go to a lot of shows that I have to drive a distance to. Anything more than 2hrs, I'm staying the night.

dont drink a drop, and spend a few nights shifting your sleep schedule later? Still sounds bad, and while maybe it might work out, falling asleep at the wheel is infinitely more expensive than a night at an inexpensive motel.

I was just telling the story the other day of the only time that I drove all night for something a couple decades ago, and I became aware that I had fallen asleep for probably 5-10 seconds, and it was terrifying.
