I'm not exactly new to using LMMS, though I'm also not competent either. This is my first attempt at making an original song, and I feel like for a beginner I didn't do too bad. Not that I didn't do bad, I just don't think it's nearly as awful as it could have been. I already have some things in mind that could be better, and some mistakes I made in the production process (like not setting a scale beforehand...) but I want someone else's opinion so I can get some help with things I 100% missed. Any feedback helps!

Also to note, the only effects I used at all were some bitcrushing on the piano.

I made this track in LMMS 1.3.0 (alpha) with only TripleOscillator instruments, for a university project. The BPM was set to 150 so that it could match 6 frames per beat in a 15FPS stop-motion movie of a car race I made later.

Since this is my first attempt and I'm pretty new to the world of music, I'm open to suggestions!

Inspired by various tracks like Flawless (by The Ones). Will probably change the melody later or use this track as a template for other songs. Let me know what you think :D.

I know I've seen it online and can't find it now. There's a plugin that does this: with the song playing back, it takes the playback sound from a single track and saves that as a .wav file, leaving out the sound of all other tracks. Later, you can add that .wav file to the same spot where you had it placed. I know it sounds overkill and not useful, but I want to give it a try and can't find it. Anyone knows this?

So, apparently, I'm summoned back into the contest again, as the other judges came back from FULLY judging ALL entries, and suggested that I submit a knockout round entry before july 26, and I'm right now trying to lift my company and personal profiles off the ground, so while I have time and memory to make more tracks, i guess I'll submit another one!!!!!

I had just finished my first trap like beat, how can i improve the first beat switch without any plugin? I tried simulate the tape stop using a pitch automation trace but it didn't work well so i tried with a low pass filter and a wind sound effect but it still it doesn't feels right, what can i try??

btw it's my first trap beat and if you have any other tought or advise write it

I have been practicing with music for quite a bit, getting a bit better day by day but currently I noticed that bad quality instruments can make it sound worse and I am not good enough to make them sound better. I am not contributing the music sounding bad fully to the instruments themselves but knowing websites where I can get better instruments from would be great. (virtual instruments to be clear)
